IT Project Manager (Senior IT PM)

At VPS, the IT Project Manager is responsible for delivering complex technology initiatives across infrastructure, platforms, enterprise systems, and technology transformation programs.

Projects typically involve multiple systems, high dependencies, strict regulatory requirements, and high-availability environments, requiring strong execution discipline and risk control.

Many initiatives involve third-party vendors and external solution providers, requiring strong coordination to ensure seamless execution across internal teams and external partners.

This role focuses on driving execution and ensuring delivery outcomes, particularly for initiatives impacting system stability, integration, and operational continuity.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Own end-to-end delivery of technology initiatives, ensuring execution is controlled and outcomes are achieved on time and at the expected quality
• Coordinate across Engineering, Infrastructure, Architecture, Security, Business teams, and external vendors to manage cross-system dependencies and execution flow
• Translate project objectives into clear execution plans, aligning timelines, milestones, and resources
• Proactively identify and manage risks related to system integration, infrastructure readiness, migration, and production impact
• Ensure readiness for key phases including testing, deployment, migration, and production rollout, especially in high-risk environments
• Maintain strong visibility of project health, with a focus on early risk detection, issue escalation, and dependency tracking
• Drive disciplined execution in environments requiring high system stability, controlled changes, and regulatory compliance

Scope of Projects: Projects typically span across:

• Infrastructure & Platform Initiatives (e.g., data center, cloud, Kubernetes, platform upgrades)
• Information Security Programs (e.g., SOC/SIEM, IAM, Zero Trust, compliance-driven initiatives)
• Enterprise System Implementation & Integration (e.g., core systems, internal platforms, system rollout & integration)
• Technology Transformation & Migration (e.g., legacy modernization, platform migration, DevOps adoption)
• Compliance & IT Governance Initiatives (e.g., audit remediation, regulatory-driven projects)
• Data Platform & Digital Initiatives (e.g., data platforms, analytics/AI at platform level)
• Operations Improvement & Automation (e.g., ITSM, automation, system reliability improvement)

REQUIREMENTS

Education
Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related disciplines

Experience
• 3+ years of experience in IT project management
• Proven experience delivering infrastructure, platform, or system-level initiatives
• Experience working in complex environments with multiple systems and dependencies
• Experience working with third-party vendors or system integrators in technology projects
• Experience in securities, banking, fintech, or regulated environments is preferred

Technology Domain Exposure
• Understanding of:
o Infrastructure and platform environments
o System integration and dependencies
o Deployment, migration, and rollout processes
• Familiarity with:
o High-availability systems
o Operational risk in production environments

Certifications
• PMP is preferred
• Other certifications such as PMI-ACP, Scrum Master are a plus
