IT Intern

Position Objectives

We are looking for a motivated and self-driven Information Technology (IT) Intern to join our team. The IT Intern will support our in-house IT department in providing technical assistance, maintaining computer systems, and configuring hardware and software. The successful candidate will be able to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues, assist with the implementation of new technologies, and support team members.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-level customer service and escalate issues as per protocol.

• Repair and upgrade PC hardware and software, including scheduled maintenance.

• Keep helpdesk processes/procedures up to date.

• Provide technical assistance to staff and customers on hardware and software-related issues

• Monitor system performance and troubleshoot any issues

• Follow established procedures and processes for computer maintenance

• Research and recommend solutions for technical problems

• A degree in an IT-related program

• Knowledge of computer systems and software

• Knowledge of network and system security

• Familiarity with hardware and software installation

• Good communication and customer service skills

• Able to work independently and as part of a team

• Possess highly developed interpersonal and teamwork skills

• Basic verbal and written English skills

• Good references on request
