IT Infrastructure Engineer (Security Support)

1. Job Summary

We are seeking a proactive IT Infrastructure & Security Engineer with strong knowledge in network administration, IT operations, and infrastructure support. The candidate will be responsible for maintaining stable IT systems and supporting daily operational activities across the organization.

The role also involves supporting security operation activities to ensure system security, compliance, and operational safety.

2. Key Responsibilities

Network & System Support (Primary Focus)

• Assist in managing network infrastructure (switches, routers, firewalls – preferably Cisco)

• Support configuration and troubleshooting of LAN/WAN connectivity

• Provide support for Microsoft Active Directory, including user/account management and group policies

• Assist in managing virtualization platforms (VMware)

• Support system operations and ensure service availability

Security (Secondary Role)

• Monitor and analyze security events from systems such as SIEM, firewall, WAF, and endpoint protection

• Assist in implementing and maintaining security solutions (WAF, Proxy, Email Security, DDoS protection, etc.)

• Support incident detection, investigation, and response activities

• Perform basic vulnerability assessments and assist in remediation

• Implement and enforce security policies, standards, and procedures

Education

• Bachelor’s or College degree in Information Technology, or related fields

Technical Skills

• Basic to intermediate knowledge of networking (TCP/IP, VLAN, routing, switching)

• Familiarity with Cisco network devices

• Experience with:

o Microsoft Active Directory (AD)

o Office 365 / Exchange

o VMware virtualization

• Basic understanding of enterprise security principles

• Knowledge of Zero Trust model is a plus

• Exposure to security systems such as:

o SIEM

o WAF

o Proxy

o NAC

is an advantage

Certifications (Preferred)

• CCNA

• MCSA or Microsoft certifications

• Azure Administrator (AZ-104 or equivalent)

Soft Skills

• Basic English communication; able to read technical documents

• Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills

• Willingness to learn and grow in cybersecurity

• Good teamwork and communication skills

• Responsible and able to work under pressure
