International Program Teacher

SUBJECTS

Tutoring Space is seeking full-time teachers who can teach one or more subjects in the following areas:

Science

JOB DESCRIPTION

• Teach students in one-to-one or small-group classes.

• Deliver classes in person in Ho Chi Minh City and/or online.

• Develop lesson plans based on each student's current level, school curriculum and academic goals.

• Prepare teaching materials, exercises, assessments and revision resources.

• Help students develop the knowledge and skills required by the IB or Cambridge curriculum.

• Guide students in understanding examination formats, assessment objectives, assessment criteria and mark schemes.

• Monitor student progress and provide clear, constructive feedback.

• Complete attendance records, lesson reports and student progress reports.

• Communicate professionally with students, parents and the Academic Team.

• Participate in academic meetings, internal training and curriculum-development activities.

• Follow Tutoring Space's academic standards, confidentiality requirements and classroom-management procedures.

ADDITIONAL FULL-TIME RESPONSIBILITIES

• Develop and update curricula, lesson plans and teaching resources.

• Create worksheets, question banks, assessments and examination-preparation materials.

• Mark student work and provide detailed academic feedback.

• Conduct placement tests and support the development of individual learning plans.

• Monitor student performance and recommend appropriate academic interventions.

• Contribute to internal teacher training and professional-development activities.

• Support teaching quality assurance and academic standardization.

• Assist other teachers and members of the Academic Team when required.

• Perform other relevant academic duties assigned by Tutoring Space.

• Bachelor's degree or higher in a subject relevant

• Bachelor's degree or higher in a subject relevant to the teaching position.

• Strong subject knowledge in at least one of the subjects listed above.

• Strong communication and academic writing skills in the language of instruction.

• Ability to teach academic content clearly and effectively.

• Familiarity with the IB or Cambridge International AS & A Level curriculum.

• Ability to explain complex concepts and adapt teaching methods to individual student needs.

• Strong lesson-planning, communication and classroom-management skills.

• Responsible, punctual, organized and proactive.

• Able to work effectively with students, parents and the Academic Team.

• Available to work according to the full-time schedule agreed with Tutoring Space.

Preference will be given to candidates who:

• Have experience teaching international curricula.

• Have experience preparing students for IB or Cambridge examinations.

• Have studied or graduated from an IB, Cambridge or equivalent international program.

• Understand the examination structure, assessment objectives, assessment criteria and mark schemes for their subject.

• Can teach more than one subject or academic program.

SUBJECT-SPECIFIC REQUIREMENTS

Science Teachers

• Academic background in Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Science Education or a related field.

• Ability to teach scientific concepts accurately and clearly in English.

• Ability to guide students in data analysis, problem-solving, experimental evaluation and examination-style responses.

• Familiarity with the practical and investigative components of the relevant curriculum is preferred.

English Language and Literature Teachers

• Academic background in English, English Literature, Linguistics, Education, Humanities or a related field.

• Strong English academic reading, writing and textual-analysis skills.

• Ability to teach literary and non-literary texts, including fiction, poetry, drama, non-fiction and media texts.

• Ability to guide students in developing arguments, selecting evidence and producing well-structured analytical writing.

• Ability to mark written work and provide detailed, actionable feedback.

• Familiarity with oral assessments and comparative analysis is preferred.

Vietnamese Language and Literature Teachers

• Academic background in Vietnamese Literature, Vietnamese Linguistics, Education, Humanities or a related field.

• Excellent Vietnamese reading, writing and textual-analysis skills.

• Ability to teach literary and non-literary texts in accordance with IB or Cambridge requirements.

• Ability to guide students in literary analysis, comparative analysis, oral presentations and academic essay writing.

• Ability to help students develop clear arguments, select appropriate textual evidence and structure written responses.

• Ability to mark student work and provide detailed, actionable feedback.

• Familiarity with international assessment criteria and mark schemes is preferred.

• Working English proficiency sufficient for understanding curriculum documents and communicating with the Academic Team is an advantage.

SALARY AND BENEFITS

Monthly salary of VND 15,000,000-30,000,000, depending on:
