• Responsible for developing, transferring, stabilizing and improving manufacturing processes for Nanocrystalline Strip production, from new material/product introduction through mass production.

• The position will work closely with Production, Maintenance, Quality, R&D/Technical teams, suppliers and overseas PICs to ensure production lines are capable, stable, efficient and meet quality, capacity and customer requirements.

A. Process Development & Work Instruction

Develop, standardize, and document manufacturing processes/WSIs; define process flows, parameters, and control points.

Identify risks and drive process/line efficiency improvements.

B. New Material / Process Trial

Plan and conduct trials for new materials/processes; evaluate quality, productivity, and resolve abnormalities.

Coordinate with overseas HQ on material specifications.

C. Process & Product Problem Solving

Identify root causes using 8D/5 Why and implement corrective/preventive actions.

Collaborate with Quality, Production, and suppliers to resolve issues.

D. Tooling / Jig / Fixture Development

Define requirements and coordinate tooling/fixture design, fabrication, modification, and validation.

Optimize for quality, safety, and productivity.

E. Line Readiness & Mass Production

Verify manpower, machine, material, and tooling readiness for mass production.

Evaluate Cpk/Ppk, cycle time, and maintain PFMEA, Control Plans, and Layouts.

F. ISO / IATF & ERP Support

Ensure compliance with ISO/IATF 16949; maintain engineering documents and support audits.

Create/update ERP routings and ensure system data matches actual processes.

G. Continuous Improvement & Machine Validation

Drive improvements to reduce scrap, cycle time, and bottlenecks through time studies and line balancing.

Validate machine performance, optimize parameters, and coordinate suppliers to close OPL.

Education

Bachelor’s degree or higher in Material Science, Metallurgical Engineering, Extractive Metallurgy, or Physical Metallurgy.

Experience

Preferably 2–5 years in Metallurgy, Industrial/Process/Manufacturing Engineering, or NPI.

Experience in metal processing or related manufacturing; experience in production line setup, machine qualification, and process improvement is an advantage.

Technical Skills

Good knowledge of manufacturing processes, equipment, and metal/material analysis; proficient in Spectrum Analyzer.

Knowledge of PFMEA, Control Plan, Process Flow, MSA, SPC, and process capability.

Able to analyze Cycle Time, Capacity, OEE, Cp/Cpk, Pp/Ppk, and conduct time/process studies.

Basic knowledge of tooling, jig/fixture design and mechanical/electrical drawings.

Experience with ERP/MES (ABAS is an advantage); proficient in Excel, PowerPoint, and preferably Minitab.

Good statistical analysis and problem-solving skills.

Language

Good English communication, especially technical reading/writing and communication with overseas technical teams.

Chinese is an advantage.
