UpBase is building an end-to-end E-commerce ecosystem that helps businesses scale revenue and optimize operations through technology.

Our ecosystem includes OMS, WMS, CRM, Omnichannel, AI and automation products serving thousands of merchants and brands. As AI becomes a core part of our strategy, we are looking for a Head of AI to lead the next phase of innovation across products, operations and business workflows.

What You'll Do

Define and drive AI strategy

• Build and execute the AI roadmap aligned with company and product objectives
• Identify high-impact AI opportunities across E-commerce operations, automation, growth and customer experience
• Evaluate emerging technologies and determine how they can be applied to real business problems

Lead AI product and platform development

• Own the architecture and development of AI solutions from concept to production
• Design and scale LLM-based systems, AI Agents and intelligent automation workflows
• Establish best practices for AI engineering, deployment, monitoring and governance
• Ensure AI products deliver measurable value, reliability and scalability

Build AI capabilities across the organization

• Partner closely with Product, Engineering, Operations and Business teams to identify use cases and deliver outcomes
• Drive adoption of AI solutions across internal workflows and customer-facing products
• Foster a culture of experimentation, innovation and continuous learning

Build and mentor the AI team

• Recruit, mentor and grow a high-performing AI engineering team
• Provide technical leadership and architectural guidance
• Establish engineering standards and development processes

Technology Stack: FastAPI, Docker, K8S, GitHub Actions, LangGraph/LangChain, Gemini, PostgreSQL, Redis, Qdrant, Grafana, Phoenix, MCP & A2A.

Yêu cầu ứng viên

• 5 years of experience in AI Engineering, Machine Learning, Software Engineering or related fields, 2 years of team management
• Proven experience building and deploying AI products in production environments
• Strong hands-on experience with LLM applications, AI Agents, RAG systems or intelligent automation platforms
• Experience designing end-to-end systems from ideation through deployment and operations
• Strong system design and architecture skills
• Experience leading, mentoring or managing engineering teams
• Ability to bridge technology and business objectives

Nice to Have

• Experience in SaaS, E-commerce or platform products
• Experience building AI-powered products used by external customers
• Familiarity with Agentic AI, MCP, A2A and modern AI orchestration frameworks
• Experience scaling AI infrastructure and optimizing AI operational costs
• Strong product thinking and understanding of business metrics
