HCM Logistics Pricing Specialist

This a key position that is responsible for sourcing competitive freight rates, maintaining strong relationships with carriers, airlines, co-loaders and overseas agents, and providing timely, accurate quotations to support business growth while ensuring profitability..

3 Specific Accountabilities are included but not limited

3.1 Freight Procurement & Pricing

• Source competitive ocean freight, air freight and inland transportation rates from carriers,

airlines, co-loaders and transport vendors.

• Prepare accurate quotations for import, export and cross-trade shipments.

• Ensure quotations are completed within committed turnaround time.

• Negotiate buying rates to maximize company profit.

• Monitor market trends and freight rate fluctuations.

• Work closely with Sales and Overseas teams to provide competitive pricing solutions.

• Recommend routing, transit time and logistics solutions based on customer requirements.

• Support strategic bidding and RFQ/RFP submissions.

3.2 Carrier & Vendor Management

• Develop and maintain strong relationships with shipping lines, airlines, trucking companies,

warehouses and logistics partners.

• Evaluate suppliers based on pricing, service quality and reliability.

• Negotiate long-term rates and service agreements whenever applicable.

• Maintain updated vendor database and tariff records.

• Strong negotiation skills.

• Commercial mindset with good profit awareness.

• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.

• Minimum 3–5 years of experience in Freight Forwarding Pricing.

• Strong experience in Ocean Freight and Air Freight pricing is preferred.

• Experience handling RFQ/RFP projects is an advantage.

• Existing relationships with carriers and logistics vendors are highly preferred.
