[HCM] Assistant Manager, Safety

• Ensure contractors follow safety guidelines and legal requirements at the project site.

• Provide ongoing support and guidance to contractors to help them meet the CLD’s safety standards and zero harmful goals.

• Perform daily safety audits and weekly site patrols to monitor contractor adherence to safety protocols.

• Implement and periodically revise the site safety monitoring plan to adapt to site-specific conditions and risks. Ensure all revisions are thoroughly discussed and aligned with the Safety Senior Manager before proceeding with implementation.

• Lead cross-audits with other projects, contributing to shared knowledge and identifying improvement areas for contractors.

• Prepare, organize, and conduct safety training sessions directly for CLD PDDM project sites, contractor management along with timeline for improvement, focusing on high-risk activities and compliance requirements.

• Ensure contractors conduct daily, and weekly toolbox talks for their workers, providing guidance or feedback to improve safety and relevance. Actively participate in these sessions and contribute by sharing relevant safety topics to enhance awareness and engagement.

• Ensure QR code systems are properly displayed at prominent locations around the project site to enable workers to directly report Workplace Safety and Health (WSH) matters. Regularly verify the functionality of the QR codes and provide support to workers on their use during safety briefings and toolbox talks and proactively address and resolve feedback received through the system to maintain a safe work environment.

• Issue site memos, NCs and monitor contractors to ensure timely resolution and closure.

• Independently, they enforce stop work orders for contractors in case of critical safety violations or unsafe conditions/acts at the site.

• Ensure contractors are prepared and trained to execute emergency response plans effectively, conducting quarterly drills.

• Organize safety days and quarter campaigns on-site, fostering contractor participation and awareness.

• Prepare and promptly submit detailed incident reports, memos, non-conformities (NCs), and stop work orders to the Senior Safety Manager. Ensure all submissions include thorough analysis and actionable recommendations for improvement.

• Ensure risk assessment/JSA must be conducted with proper proactive control measures, and all workers must receive respective appropriate awareness (TBM or other effective methods) before commencing work and displayed at respective work locations.

• Ensure successfully internal and external audit of ISO45001, any NCs will be closed with deadline set of project sites in charge.

• Prepare and submit contractor safety reports for the Senior Manager, including KPI data.

• Regular join the meeting with contractors to highlight the safety matters.

• Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Health and Safety, Engineering, or a related field.

• Minimum of 10 years of on-site experience in a similar role.

• Strong commitment to health, safety, and environmental (HSE) management practices.

• Solid understanding and practical experience with Safety Management Systems, particularly ISO 45001.

• Excellent English communication skills, both written and verbal.

• Willingness to work in Binh Duong or other provinces as required, with flexibility to relocate if necessary.

• Demonstrates a positive attitude, eagerness to learn, honesty, dynamism, and strong work ethic.
