Key Responsibilities

Design and Vision

• Design, document, and balance game mechanics, progression systems, and virtual economies.
• Write and maintain clear, structured Game Design Documents (GDD) to serve as a reference for technical and artistic teams.
• Ensure game content aligns with the core pillars of the project and the overall Game Loop.

Coordination and Alignment

• Collaborate daily with programmers and artists to ensure the faithful implementation of designed mechanics.
• Identify "day-to-day" design issues (unclear mechanics, logic bugs, pacing issues) and propose rapid solutions.
• Alert production regarding the complexity of certain features that could affect the project’s scope or delivery timeline.

Iteration and Quality

• Prototype new ideas within Unity to quickly test "fun factor" and accessibility.
• Facilitate and participate in playtest sessions to observe player behavior and adjust the design accordingly.
• Analyze data and community feedback (Discord, surveys) to identify friction points and improve the overall experience.

Launch Support and Community

• Collaborate with the marketing team to prepare launch materials (tutorials, feature breakdowns).
• Monitor community feedback at launch to prioritize gameplay adjustments and necessary balancing.

Your Skills and Experience

Requirements

Experience:

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in Game Design within the video game industry.
• Hands-on experience with the Unity engine.

Technical Skills:

• Excellent mastery of design principles (mechanics, systems, economy, UX).
• Ability to write high-quality technical and creative documentation.
• Understanding of VR market and multiplayer. A familiarity with free-to-play VR market

Professional Skills:

• Excellent communication skills and the ability to thrive in an iterative environment.
• Sensitivity to emerging trends in gaming and social spaces.
