Footwear Costing Manager

The Footwear Costing Manager will focus on managing footwear product costing strategy, partnering with product creation, sourcing, and manufacturing teams to optimise FOB, margins, and product value throughout the development cycle. It combines costing expertise, commercial analysis, and cross-functional stakeholder management to drive cost efficiency, support manufacturing decisions, and improve profitability.

Description

As a Footwear Costing Manager, your main responsibilities will include:

* Lead footwear costing activities to achieve target FOBs and margins.

* Partner with product, development, and sourcing teams on cost optimisation.

* Analyse cost drivers, FOB performance, and margin trends to provide actionable insights.

* Drive cost-saving initiatives and cost engineering projects across product categories.

* Develop costing tools, reporting frameworks, and data-driven recommendations.

* Support sourcing and allocation decisions through landed cost analysis.

* Ensure costing systems, policies, and processes are maintained and applied consistently.

* Collaborate with internal stakeholders and manufacturing partners to enhance costing capabilities and business performance.

Profile

A successful Footwear Costing Manager should have:

* Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Business, or a related field.

* Minimum 5 years' experience in footwear costing, product development, or manufacturing.

* Strong knowledge of footwear construction, materials, manufacturing processes, and product pricing.

* Proven experience in FOB management, margin analysis, and cost optimisation initiatives.

* Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify cost drivers, forecast trends, and provide actionable recommendations.

* Excellent stakeholder management, communication, negotiation, and influencing skills.

* Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and external manufacturing partners.

* Advanced proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and preferably Power BI, with fluent English communication skills.
