Synopsis Of Duties

Electrical Design Engineer is responsible for preparing and developing electrical designs and technical documentation for semiconductor manufacturing and other high-tech facility projects. The role supports the engineering team in delivering practical, reliable, and compliant electrical design solutions in accordance with project requirements, specifications, and applicable standards.

Core Duties & Responsibilities

* Electrical Design & Drafting

• Prepare electrical layouts, single-line diagrams, schematics, and detailed design drawings.

• Perform basic electrical design calculations and equipment sizing under the guidance of senior engineers.

• Develop designs for electrical systems such as power distribution, lighting, small power, and other project-related systems.

• Review project requirements, specifications, and design criteria.

• Ensure designs comply with applicable codes, standards, and project requirements.

• Prepare and update drawings using AutoCAD and other relevant design tools.

*Design Development & Support

• Support design revisions and updates based on project requirements and site conditions.

• Assist in evaluating alternative design solutions for cost efficiency and constructability.

• Support senior engineers in resolving design and technical issues during project execution.

• Coordinate with vendors and subcontractors on electrical equipment and technical requirements.

*Documentation & Quality

• Prepare and maintain design drawings, calculations, specifications, and other technical documents.

• Ensure design deliverables are accurate, complete, and properly updated.

• Support preparation of as-built drawings and project handover documents.

• Follow project and company quality procedures for all design deliverables.

Skills

• Good knowledge of electrical systems and MEP design principles.

• Good understanding of electrical codes, standards, and design practices.

• Proficient in AutoCAD; knowledge of Revit, or Autodesk ACC is an advantage.

• Good analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Detail-oriented and responsible.

• Good communication and coordination skills.

• Good English communication skills for technical coordination and documentation.

Qualifications & Job Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.

• 2–3 years of experience in electrical design, preferably in MEP, industrial, semiconductor, or high-tech facility projects.

• Experience in multidisciplinary design coordination is an advantage.

• Familiarity with semiconductor manufacturing facilities or cleanroom environments is an advantage.
