Customs and Trade Compliance Manager (Newly Setup Factory)

Job Purpose

The Import & Export Manager is responsible for overseeing all import and export activities of the EPE company, ensuring full compliance with Vietnam Customs regulations and EPE regulations while optimizing customs procedures and supporting business operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage all import and export operations for an Export Processing Enterprise (EPE).

• Oversee customs declaration processes and ensure all import/export documentation is accurate and compliant with Vietnamese regulations.

• Monitor and manage import-export matching to ensure customs compliance and inventory accuracy.

• Ensure compliance with customs laws, import/export regulations, tariff classifications, customs valuation, and related legal requirements.

• Coordinate with Customs authorities and relevant government agencies to resolve customs issues and maintain smooth customs clearance.

• Lead the implementation and optimization of the N-ERP system related to import & export and customs management.

• Develop and improve import-export procedures to enhance operational efficiency.

• Work closely with Logistics, Warehouse, Purchasing, Production, Finance, and other internal departments to ensure seamless import/export operations.

• Prepare reports and provide recommendations regarding customs compliance and process improvements.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or above in Business Administration, International Business, Finance, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or other related fields.

• Minimum 5-7 years of experience in Import & Export, Customs, or International Trade.

• Strong knowledge of:

o Vietnam Customs regulations

o Customs valuation and tariff classification

o Import/export documentation

o EPE regulations and compliance

• Hands-on experience handling customs procedures for manufacturing or EPE companies.

• Experience with ERP systems; experience implementing or optimizing N-ERP is a strong advantage.

• Good communication and coordination skills.

• Use English or Korean effectively for daily business communication.

• Experience working in an FDI manufacturing environment.

• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.

• Experience leading process improvement projects.

• Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and government authorities.
