1. POSITION PURPOSE
The Chief Accountant is responsible for overseeing the company’s overall accounting and financial operations, ensuring transparency, accuracy, compliance with legal regulations, and alignment with governance requirements of a listed company.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
A. Accounting Operations & Financial Reporting
- Manage and oversee the company’s entire accounting operations
- Ensure accounting records are accurate, complete, and submitted on time
- Prepare and review:
- Monthly / quarterly / yearly financial statements
- Management reports
- Consolidated reports
- Reports for disclosure and regulatory purposes
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards, tax regulations, and listed company requirements
A. Tax & Compliance
- Oversee tax declaration, tax finalization, and compliance for all related taxes
- Liaise with:
- Tax authorities
- External auditors
- Banks
- Relevant government authorities
- Ensure accounting documents and records are properly maintained and compliant
C. Budgeting
- Lead and drive:
- Annual budgeting
- Forecasting
- Financial planning processes across the organization
- Provide financial insights and recommendations to improve business and operational performance
- Partner with management teams to support strategic decision-making and performance optimization
D. Team Management
- Lead, coach, and develop the accounting team
- Build a professional, transparent, and efficient working environment
- Ensure succession planning and capability development within the team

Education
- Bachelor’s degree in:
- Accounting
- Auditing
- Finance
- Chief Accountant certification is mandatory
- ACCA / CPA is an advantage
Experience
- > 10 years of experience in Accounting & Finance
- At least 5 years in Chief Accountant position
- Must have experience in listed companies
- Strong exposure to manufacturing environment is highly preferred
Skills & Competencies
- Strong knowledge of:
- Accounting standards
- Tax regulations
- Corporate law
- Disclosure requirements
- Strong control mindset and risk management capability
- Leadership and stakeholder management skills
- ERP Accounting knowledge is a MUST
- Must Fluently of English (plus is Korean speaking)
