CEO - Mekong Delta Gourmet

The Chief Executive Officer (CEO) will provide strategic, financial, and operational leadership for Mekong Delta Gourmet (MDG). The ideal candidate will oversee all business activities, ensuring alignment with AIG’s overarching corporate goals.

This role demands a high-caliber leader with a robust track record in food processing plant operations, comprehensive P&L management, supply chain optimization and business expansion in both export and domestic markets.

Responsibilities

Strategic Leadership & Business Growth:

- Develop, execute MDG’s short-term and long-term strategic plans to maximize profitability, market share, and enterprise value.

- Take full accountability for the company’s comprehensive P&L, financial performance, budgeting, and resource allocation.

- Drive expansion strategies for both international export (currently accounting for a major share of business) and premium domestic channels

Manufacturing Operations & Technical Excellence:

- Oversee the entire manufacturing ecosystem, ensuring factory operations at the Long An site meet global standards for food safety, quality, and cost efficiency.

- Leverage an engineering/technical mindset to drive continuous improvement, automation, and technological advancements within the processing lines.

- Optimize production capacity to align seamlessly with sales forecasts and market demands.

- Technical Expertise Required: proven hands-on track record in executing the following technical operations

- Process Design: designing end-to-end production workflows from Raw Materials (RM) to Finished Goods (FG).

- Line Balancing: calculating line capacity balancing and/or energy balance to optimize operational flow.

- Tech Selection: evaluating and selecting production technologies and food processing equipment.

- Cost & Efficiency Optimization: maximizing Yield (recovery) and output; minimizing waste and production costs; and improving line OEE/efficiency.

- R&D & Pilot Testing: collaborating with R&D on trial designs and executing pilot tests for scale-up.

Supply Chain, Processing & Warehousing Management:

- Ensure a proven and highly efficient track record in food/fruit processing methodology and strict quality controls.

- Direct and optimize warehousing, logistics, and cold chain management to safeguard raw materials and finished gourmet products.

- Oversee backward integration strategies, managing relationships and sourcing operations with fruit/vegetable farms to secure stable, high-quality, and traceable inputs.

Organization Leadership & Corporate Governance:

- Build, inspire, and mentor a high-performing executive leadership team (including Operations, R&D, Finance, Sales, and Supply Chain).

- Foster a safety-first, performance-driven, and highly collaborative culture that reflects AIG’s core corporate values.

- Represent MDG in high-level negotiations with key clients, government authorities, industry partners, and stakeholders.

Qualifications

- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in food technology, Chemical Engineering, Industrial Management, Business Administration, or related fields.

- Minimum of 10+ years of progressive leadership experience within the Food, Beverage, or Fruit/Vegetable Manufacturing (MFG) industries.

- Highly Preferable: extensive experience in Processed Fruit Manufacturing along with full P&L ownership.

- Acceptable: strong experience in Vegetable Manufacturing with full P&L ownership.

- Proven Track Record: demonstrated success and deep expertise in food processing technology and warehousing/logistics management.

- Added Advantage (Plus): direct operational experience or familiarity with Fruit & Vegetable farming/agronomy and agricultural sourcing is a major plus.

- Strongly Preferred: An Engineering background or strong technical foundation in manufacturing processes.
