Business Development Manager (Banking & Financial Services)

We are looking for a Business Development Manager to build and develop strategic partnerships with banks, finance companies, fintechs and large enterprises seeking to leverage Alternative Data solutions. In this role, you will help customers optimize credit assessment, strengthen risk management and improve business performance through innovative data-driven solutions.

Working closely with both external partners and internal teams, you will play a key role in expanding our business, driving revenue growth and delivering long-term value to our customers.

Key Responsibilities

1. Business Development & Partner Acquisition

• Identify, research and approach potential partners, including banks, finance companies, insurance companies, fintechs and major enterprises.

• Introduce the company's Alternative Data solutions and demonstrate their value in credit assessment, risk management and business decision-making.

• Build relationships with prospective partners and proactively develop new business opportunities.

• Expand the company's client and strategic partner network.

2. Partner Relationship Management

• Build, maintain and strengthen long-term relationships with existing partners.

• Understand partners' business needs and recommend appropriate solutions to maximize business value.

• Act as the key liaison between partners and internal teams (Policy, Product, Data Science and IT) to ensure smooth project implementation and timely issue resolution.

3. Business Proposal & Commercial Negotiation

• Analyze customer requirements and prepare business proposals tailored to their business objectives.

• Lead commercial discussions and negotiate contract terms to achieve mutually beneficial agreements.

• Coordinate internal stakeholders throughout the contracting process and support contract execution in compliance with relevant regulations.

4. Market Insights & Product Collaboration

• Gather customer feedback and stay updated on market trends, industry developments and emerging business needs.

• Collaborate with Product teams to improve existing solutions and develop new features aligned with customer requirements.

• Monitor competitors and provide market insights to support business development strategies.

5. Business Performance

• Develop business plans and manage assigned sales targets and KPIs.

• Monitor business performance and prepare regular reports for management.

• Contribute to achieving overall business growth and revenue objectives.

• Bachelor's degree or above in Business Administration, Economics, Finance, Banking, Information Technology or a related field. A Master's degree is an advantage.

• Minimum 3–5 years of experience in Business Development, Partnership Management or B2B Solution Sales within technology companies, banks, finance companies, fintechs or data service providers.

• Experience or a solid understanding of credit policy (Risk Policy), credit risk analysis, Alternative Data or Big Data solutions within the financial industry.

• Existing relationships with banks, finance companies or fintech organizations will be an advantage.

• Good understanding of the financial services market, particularly lending products, credit card business and credit risk management.

• Understanding of how Alternative Data can support business decision-making and risk management.

• Strong business development, negotiation and relationship management skills.

• Ability to analyze market opportunities, develop business plans and execute effective growth strategies.

• Excellent presentation, communication and stakeholder management skills.

• Good command of English, particularly in business communication and presentations.

• Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a dynamic environment.

• Strategic mindset with strong business acumen.

• Proactive, results-oriented and highly responsible.
