Mô tả công việc Business Development & Client Relations Executive
About the Role
Lê & Trần is a litigation-led Vietnamese law firm ranked by Legal 500, Chambers Asia-Pacific and Benchmark Litigation, with a practice spanning labour and employment disputes, commercial litigation and international arbitration. Much of our client base is foreign-invested enterprises and their executives.
We are looking for a Business Development & Client Relations Executive to own the front end of the firm’s growth: capturing and converting inbound enquiries, running the firm’s business development calendar, and ensuring no lead is lost between first contact and engagement letter.
This is a commercial role inside a professional services environment. You will not be practising law, but you will work closely with lawyers, clients and prospects every day.
Key Responsibilities
1. Client lead management (primary focus)
• Receive, log and triage all inbound enquiries — website, email, hotline, referrals, directory listings, LinkedIn and events.
• Qualify leads: capture the nature of the dispute, counterparty, jurisdiction, urgency and budget indications; run initial conflict checks with the relevant partner.
• Route each lead to the correct practice group and follow up until the matter is either opened or formally closed.
• Maintain the firm’s CRM and lead pipeline: every lead has an owner, a status and a next action, with no item sitting idle.
• Track conversion rates by source, practice area and client type; report monthly on pipeline value and win/loss.
• Prepare and follow up on fee proposals, engagement letters and pitch documents in coordination with the responsible lawyer.
• Nurture unconverted leads through a structured follow-up programme.
2. Business development activities
• Build and execute a rolling BD calendar: seminars, webinars, client briefings, chamber of commerce events (AmCham, EuroCham, KoCham, JCCI and similar) and industry roundtables.
• Manage relationships with business chambers, HR associations, in-house counsel networks and referral partners, including overseas law firms.
• Prepare directory and award submissions (Legal 500, Chambers Asia-Pacific, Benchmark Litigation, IFLR and equivalents), including matter write-ups and referee coordination.
• Coordinate thought-leadership output: client alerts, legal updates, articles and newsletters — commissioning from lawyers, editing for a business audience and distributing to target lists.
• Maintain and segment the firm’s contact database; run targeted campaigns to defined client groups (for example, HR directors of manufacturing FIEs).
• Support the partners’ individual BD plans: meeting preparation, background research on targets, follow-up notes and action tracking.
3. Client relationship and marketing support
• Own client-facing collateral: firm profile, practice group brochures, credentials lists, CVs and pitch decks — kept current and consistent.
• Manage website content and the firm’s LinkedIn presence in coordination with external vendors.
• Run client feedback and satisfaction interviews after significant matters; feed findings back to the partners.
• Support cross-selling by mapping existing clients against the firm’s full service range.
4. Administration and reporting
• Produce monthly and quarterly BD dashboards for the partnership: leads, conversions, revenue by source, event return on investment.
• Manage the BD budget, vendor contracts and event logistics.
• Maintain BD records, templates and process documentation.
Essential
• Bachelor’s degree
Yêu cầu công việc
Essential
• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, International Business, Economics, Law or a related field.
• 2–4 years’ experience in business development, client relations, sales support or marketing — ideally in professional services (law, accounting, consulting, recruitment) or B2B services to foreign-invested companies.
• Strong English, written and spoken — IELTS 7.0 or higher (or equivalent: TOEFL iBT 94+, Cambridge C1 Advanced). You will draft client-facing English correspondence and speak directly with foreign clients and overseas referral firms. Candidates below this level will not be considered.
• Fluent Vietnamese.
• Confident with CRM systems, Microsoft 365 (Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams) and basic data reporting.
• Excellent written communication: able to turn a lawyer’s technical explanation into clear commercial language.
• Organised and persistent — comfortable chasing follow-ups and holding senior people to deadlines.
• High discretion; you will handle confidential client and matter information.
Preferred
• Prior exposure to a law firm, arbitration institution or in-house legal department.
• Experience with legal directory submissions or professional services awards.
• An existing network within business chambers or the HR community in Ho Chi Minh City.
• Event management experience.
• A third language (Japanese, Korean or Chinese) given our client base.
What Success Looks Like (First 12 Months)
• Every inbound enquiry logged within the same working day, with a documented outcome.
• A functioning lead pipeline the partners can review in one place, replacing ad hoc tracking.
• Measurable improvement in enquiry-to-engagement conversion.
• A published BD calendar delivered on schedule, with post-event follow-up completed.
• Directory submissions filed complete and on time across all ranked practice areas.
What We Offer
• Competitive salary commensurate with experience, plus a performance bonus linked to pipeline and conversion outcomes.
• A direct working relationship with the founding partners and genuine influence over how the firm grows.
• Exposure to high-value cross-border disputes and a sophisticated international client base.
• Training and support toward professional development in legal marketing and business development.
• Full statutory benefits and the firm’s standard employee package.
