Automation Engineer (Hands-On | Project & Solution Delivery)

Key Responsibilities

Automation & Control Systems

• Design, configure, and commission PLC-based automation systems

• Hands-on experience with digital and analog I/O mapping, testing, and troubleshooting

• Develop, test, and optimize control logic, interlocks, and safety concepts

Electrical & Cabinet Design

• Design and review control panels and electrical cabinets

• Select and configure PLC, HMI, drives, safety components, and field devices

• Prepare and validate electrical drawings, wiring diagrams, and I/O lists

Industrial Networking & Communication

• Design and configure industrial networks and IP-based communication

• Configure IP addressing, managed switches, and perform network diagnostics

• Work with PROFINET, Modbus TCP/RTU, and other industrial communication protocols

HMI, IIoT & MES

• Design and develop HMI/SCADA systems with alarms, trends, and diagnostics

• Design and propose IIoT architectures and data acquisition solutions

• Experience integrating PLC systems with MES platforms and shop-floor data systems

Robotics & Vision Systems

• Work with industrial robots for handling, assembly, or palletizing applications

• Integrate vision systems and industrial cameras into automation solutions

• Design PLC–Robot–Vision integrated systems

Project Management & Delivery

• Manage and execute automation projects end-to-end from design to commissioning

• Maintain a proven project completion and delivery record

• Lead FAT, SAT, installation, and commissioning activities

Technical Solution & Pre-Sales Support

• Support internal teams to prepare technical solutions based on client requirements

• Participate in technical discussions, solution design, and proposal preparation

• Support development of demos and proof-of-concept systems for customer

demonstrations

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Strong hands-on experience in industrial automation and system integration

• Solid knowledge of PLC, I/O systems, control panels, HMI, networking, and MES

• Experience with PROFINET, Modbus, and industrial communication protocols

• Exposure to robotics, vision systems, and IIoT platforms

• Strong problem-solving, leadership, and customer-facing communication skills

Education & Experience

• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Automation, Electrical, Electronics, Mechatronics, or related field

• Strong knowledge of automotive, electronics, and semiconductor manufacturing processes.
