Australian Senior Paraplanner

Job Purpose

A senior technical role with leadership influence and end to end advice delivery.

Key Responsibilities

Technical Paraplanning

You will be responsible for preparing high-quality, compliant advice documents and supporting advisers with strategic advice development.

Key duties include:

• Researching and developing financial planning strategies for clients.

• Preparing complex and compliant Statements of Advice (SOAs).

• Preparing Records of Advice (ROAs) and supporting advice documents.

• Conducting financial modelling using xplan and xtools+ and scenario analysis.

• Analysing client circumstances and identifying appropriate advice strategies.

• Providing technical support across:

o Superannuation

o SMSFs

o Retirement planning

o Personal insurance

o Investment strategies

• Researching legislation, product solutions and technical advice matters.

• Ensuring advice documents meet business, compliance and licensee standards.

• Working closely with advisers to refine recommendations and client strategies.

Team Leadership & Workflow Management

You will support the smooth operation of the paraplanning function and help maintain high advice standards.

Key duties include:

• Allocating workflow across the paraplanning and support team.

• Managing team capacity and prioritising deadlines.

• Mentoring junior paraplanners and administration staff.

• Providing technical guidance and coaching.

• Peer-reviewing SOAs, ROAs and advice documents for accuracy and quality.

• Ensuring consistency in advice documentation and presentation.

• Supporting continuous improvement in paraplanning processes.

• Acting as a senior point of contact for complex advice queries.

Implementation & Operations

You will assist with advice execution and support operational efficiency across the business.

Key duties include:

• Implementing client advice recommendations.

• Preparing and lodging applications with platforms and product providers.

• Managing rollovers, contributions, withdrawals, investment changes and insurance applications.

• Tracking implementation tasks through to completion.

• Liaising with platforms, insurers, fund managers and other providers.

• Maintaining accurate client records and file notes.

• Optimising workflows

• Identifying opportunities to improve systems, processes and turnaround times.

Yêu cầu công việc

• Minimum 3–5 years’ paraplanning experience in financial planning.

• Strong technical knowledge of:

• Superannuation

• SMSFs

• Retirement strategies

• Personal insurance

• Experience preparing complex SOAs and ROAs.

• Strong financial modelling and research skills.

• High attention to detail and strong English verbal and written communication skills.

• Exposure to leading staff, mentoring others or managing workflows.

• Confidence reviewing advice documents for technical accuracy and compliance.

• Strong understanding of advice processes from strategy through to implementation.

• Proficiency in Xplan, Xtools+, Wealth solver, Risk researcher is required and is not negotiable.
