ASSISTANT MANAGER - metal sourcing (English & Chinese)

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

• Lead and manage sourcing activities for metal, mechanical components, tooling, and related materials to support manufacturing operations.

• Manage the end-to-end sourcing process, including supplier identification, market research, RFQ/RFP, quotation analysis, negotiation, supplier selection, and onboarding.

• Develop and maintain a strong network of suppliers across China, Vietnam, Malaysia, and other international markets.

• Identify and evaluate potential suppliers based on cost, quality, delivery capability, capacity, technical capabilities, and compliance requirements.

• Conduct supplier negotiations to achieve competitive pricing and favorable commercial terms.

• Work closely with Engineering, Quality, Production, and other internal stakeholders to ensure sourcing activities meet project and business requirements.

• Monitor supplier performance and work with relevant teams to resolve issues related to quality, cost, delivery, and capacity.

• Support strategic sourcing initiatives, cost reduction projects, supplier development, and localization opportunities.

• Conduct supplier visits, audits, and business trips to overseas markets, with China as the primary travel destination.

• Prepare sourcing reports, market analysis, supplier evaluations, and recommendations for management.

• Ensure sourcing activities are aligned with company policies, procurement strategies, and business objectives.

• Other tasks as assigned by the Corporate Sourcing Management.

• Bachelor's

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Procurement, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.

• 5+ years of experience in Sourcing / Procurement, preferably at Senior Executive / Assistant Manager level.

• Strong experience in metal sourcing, mechanical components, metal stamping, tooling, machining, or related manufacturing industries.

• Proven experience managing the full end-to-end sourcing process and working directly with suppliers.

• Experience sourcing from China and other international markets is highly preferred.

• Strong supplier negotiation, cost analysis, and vendor management skills.

• Fluent English is mandatory for daily communication and reporting to international stakeholders.

• Mandarin proficiency is highly preferred due to frequent communication and business trips to China.

• Strong communication, negotiation, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

• Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively with cross-functional and international teams.
