Academic Responsibilities

• Utilize and follow the lesson plans and materials provided to VNTs.
• Adapt prescribed lesson plans when necessary based on learners’ needs.
• Deliver dynamic and communicative lessons that are effective and engaging for students.
• Ensure students receive constructive and positive feedback on completed work and progress.
• Undertake essential administrative tasks, such as keeping up-to-date records of work, assessments, etc.,

Pastoral Responsibilities

• Complete periodic professional development tasks during the term of employment.
• Consistently ensure the welfare of students remains paramount.
• Be fully engaged in the nature of the programme.
• Actively discourage students from engaging in improper behavior, including sexual liaisons, bullying, rowdiness, or any other activity which could be of harm to other students or bring the programme or company into disrepute.
• Act in a professional manner with all clients and staff, and not engage in any activity which may bring the company (or client organization) into disrepute.
• Assist all students to derive the maximum benefit from the course.
• Respect property and equipment, maintaining security and avoiding loss and/or damage.
• Dress in a manner commensurate with the demands of the position: smart attire for teaching.

1. EducationUniversity degree with a major conducted in English. For example: English for Business, Teaching English, EnglishTranslation / Interpreting, and/or a university requirement of IELTS 6.5 or higher to complete the degree.

2. Teaching Certification

Certificate in Teaching English. For example: CELTA / TESOL / TEFL with 120 hours or more of study.

English Proficiency Certification

IELTS 7.0+, with a valid certificate as proof. If the candidate does not have an IELTS certificate, a general IELTS mock test conducted by a standardized placement tester may be used in lieu.

Teaching Experience

Strongly preferred, but not required.

• Computer literate (with a focus on Google Suite and Microsoft applications).
