Technical Designer (Apparel)

Handle end to end product’s technical support till all necessity tech quality standard into bulk production, ensure right cost, right on-time delivery.

- Sample matrix arrangement to follow up WIP delivery & quality consistency

- Trim & fabric verification with Mer

- CAD Pattern verification / correction (Gerber 2D based on sample fitting feedback & issues)

• Conduct sampling approval process and ensure on timely submission along with good execution.

• Collaborate with merchandisers, buyers, suppliers, follow up T&A (WIP) with flexible technical support, ensure on-time delivery regularly.

• At least 10+ years hands-on technical experience in Kids’ & Youth apparel, with deep dive to export products for US market. Core category expertise (must-have):

Men’s & women’s underwear, strong command of knit fabric properties and technical characteristics

Teen girls’ swimwear (adolescent/teenage)

Toddler to teenage boys’ & girls’ sportswear (full category, knit & woven)

Including: Sportswear sets, beachwear, skate pants, outdoor & ski apparel technology

• Gerber 2D (mandatory): Strong ability to create and modify patterns based directly on sample fitting feedback and fit issues.

• Safety & compliance: Solid practical knowledge of US/EU children safety standards, especially US CPSIA (Consumer Product Safety Improvement Act) for kids’ apparel.

• Up to date with the latest garment design-construction trends and best practices

• Knowledge of garment manufacturing, including construction, fabrication, trim and print techniques, and sensibility for costing/design

• Ability to resolve variety fitting issues & modify pattern by CAD, Gerber preferred

• Bachelor’s Degree in Garment engineering or related field

• Excellent verbal and written communications skills

• Proficient in Microsoft Office, Adobe products, Excel, PPT, MS Team, drawings

• Flex PLM system experience will be a plus
