JOB PURPOSES

• Participate in the design, development, and maintenance of enterprise e-commerce solutions built on Shopify.
• Develop scalable Shopify applications, storefronts, and integrations that support business operations and customer experience.
• Work closely with Business Analysts, UI/UX Designers, QA Engineers, and Product Owners to deliver high-quality software following Agile practices.
• Collaborate with backend engineers and external systems to integrate payment gateways, logistics providers, ERP, CRM, and other business platforms.
• Use company-approved AI tools to improve software development productivity, including requirement analysis, code generation, code review, debugging, documentation, and testing support.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Develop and maintain Shopify storefronts using Shopify Liquid, Online Store 2.0, and modern frontend technologies.
• Build and maintain Shopify Apps using Shopify Admin API, Storefront API, GraphQL, REST API, and Shopify CLI.
• Customize Shopify themes while ensuring responsive UI, accessibility, SEO, and performance best practices.
• Develop custom Shopify Functions, Checkout Extensions, App Extensions, Webhooks, and Flow integrations where applicable.
• Integrate Shopify with third-party systems such as payment gateways, logistics providers, ERP, CRM, and marketing platforms.
• Develop backend services and APIs using modern web frameworks when required.
• Participate in architecture discussions, technical design, estimation, code reviews, and technical documentation.
• Troubleshoot production issues, optimize application performance, and improve maintainability.
• Collaborate with QA engineers to ensure software quality through unit testing, integration testing, and deployment validation.
• Participate in CI/CD implementation and deployment using GitLab CI, GitHub Actions, or similar platforms.
• Utilize AI-assisted development tools approved by the company to improve engineering productivity.

Your Skills and Experience

REQUIREMENTS

Experience

• Minimum 3 years of software development experience.
• Minimum 2 years of hands-on Shopify development experience.
• Experience delivering commercial Shopify or Shopify Plus projects.
• Experience working in Agile software development teams.

Technical Skills

• Strong programming skills in Python.
• Understanding of AI/LLM models and model deployment.
• Experience with: Fine-tuning and model improvement pipelines, RAG/GraphRAG, LangChain/ LangGraph.
• Knowledge or experience with open-source model ecosystems, such as: HuggingFace, Ollama, llama.cpp, Unsloth...
• Ability to build feedback loops for model learning and improvement.
• Experience processing data for model training or fine-tuning.
• Familiar with AI agents and AI-assisted development tools.

Nice to Have

• Shopify Plus certification.
• Experience with Headless Commerce.
• Experience with Hydrogen or Oxygen.
• Experience with Vercel deployment.
• Experience integrating Salesforce, SAP, Microsoft Dynamics, or other enterprise systems.
• Experience with AI-assisted software development tools such as GitHub Copilot, Claude Code, Codex, Cursor, or similar tools.
