Senior Raw Cashew Nut (RCN) Quality Control & Sourcing Specialist – Africa Expat

Key Responsibilities:

• Quality Inspection (Core): Conduct hands-on, rigorous sampling and

quality testing of Raw Cashew Nuts (RCN) at local warehouses and

buying stations in Gambia and Mozambique. Precisely calculate

Outturn (KOR), Moisture levels, Nut Count, and Defective/Cutting

rates.

• Loading & Stuffing Supervision: Oversee the entire container

stuffing process. Ensure that the bulk cargo quality strictly matches the

approved samples, preventing blending, watering, or adulteration.

Capture comprehensive photo/video records for HQ.

• Logistics & Warehouse Management: Monitor inventory conditions in

local transit warehouses to prevent mold or pest infestation. Coordinate

with local forwarders to track inland transport and customs clearance

progress.

• Market Intelligence: Provide daily briefings to the HQ regarding local

farmgate prices, weather conditions, crop quality trends, and

competitors' purchasing movements.

• Experience: Minimum 2-3 years of proven experience in Raw Cashew Nut (RCN) inspection, procurement, or factory QC management. Prior expat working experience in West or East Africa is highly preferred.

• Language Skills: Professional proficiency in English (spoken and written) for reporting and daily operations. Knowledge of basic Portuguese is a major plus for the Mozambique market.

• Personal Traits: Highly disciplined, honest, and resilient against local supplier compliance risks. Capable of working independently in a challenging rural/African environment.

• Mobility: Fully willing to relocate and relocate flexibly between Gambia and Mozambique according to the seasonal crop cycles.
