Senior Purchasing Officer - New Netherlands Company - Attractive Salary

1. Ensure on-time material availability for production.

2. Release and manage Purchase Orders, including order rescheduling and expediting activities.

3. Follow up NCR, OOR and forecast-related issues with suppliers.

4. Ensure suppliers comply with VDL requirements, policies and procedures.

5. Follow up ECO implementation and communicate company requirements to suppliers.

6. Contribute to inventory control and optimization programs.

7. Develop and execute global sourcing strategies, identify and qualify new suppliers locally and globally, and secure the most competitive supply solutions in terms of cost, quality, lead time and service.

8. Initiate and manage Global Purchasing Agreements.

9. Lead commodity management activities by leveraging global supplier networks, market intelligence and group purchasing synergies.

10. Manage supplier relationships, develop supplier strategies, monitor supplier KPI/QLTC performance, conduct supplier performance reviews, and drive corrective actions and continuous improvement programs.

11. Drive cost reduction and lead-time improvement initiatives through supplier negotiations, contract management, value engineering, material optimization, process improvement and supply chain innovation.

12. Drive localization initiatives and support local supplier development.

13. Drive purchasing process improvements and develop strategies to support ramp-up, ramp-down and material shortage situations.

14. Support operational buyers in expediting deliveries and resolving purchasing issues.

15. Monitor supplier capacity, technology roadmaps, commodity market trends and supply chain developments to support sourcing and business strategies.

16. Provide periodic management reports on supplier performance, sourcing activities and improvement actions.

17. Co-ordinate and support Finance Department in resolving invoice, delivery and goods receipt discrepancies.

18. Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the company.

- Bachelor’s Degree or above required

- 10+ years of global purchasing experience with extensive knowledge of global supply bases and supplier development (including USA and Europe Supply Base)

- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings for outsourced manufacturing and sourcing activities (plus)

- 5+ years of experience in a multinational company and/or contract manufacturing equipment environment.

- 5+ years of supervisory or management experience

- Experienced in developing sourcing strategies and utilizing market intelligence to support strategic and purchasing decision-making.

- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications: Excel, PowerPoint, Word and Project.

- Key user experience with global ERP systems.
