Seaonics Mechanical Design Engineer

Key Responsibilities:
1. System Design and Development:
Design and develop mechanical systems and components for offshore equipment, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
Create detailed engineering drawings and specifications using CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, Inventor).
Ensure all designs are aligned with safety and environmental regulations.
2. Documentation and Verification:
Update engineering drawings and documentation as necessary to reflect changes made during the design and fabrication processes.
Collect and implement as-built revisions to our design based on feedback from production sites.
Perform as-built verifications to ensure equipment aligns with design specifications and operational requirements.
3. Technical Support & Collaboration:
Participate in design reviews and provide technical support during fabrication and installation phases.
Collaborate closely with engineering teams based in Norway and Poland to ensure alignment on design goals and project requirements.
Qualifications:
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
A Master’s degree is a plus.
Experience:
Minimum of 3 years of experience in mechanical design, preferably in offshore engineering or related industries.
Preferred skills: Experience with offshore marine structures.
Skills & Competencies:
Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, Inventor, Vault) and engineering simulation tools.
Strong understanding of materials and manufacturing processes related to offshore equipment.
Knowledge of industry standards such as DNV, ISO etc.
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Strong communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary environment.
Strong English communication skills – both verbal and written.
Preferred skills: Familiarity with JIRA, Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
