QA Specialist Garment Fit & Technical Design (Knits & Wovens)

• Fit Evaluation & Technical Comments: Lead the fit approval process from proto samples to pre-production samples for both Knitted and Woven categories. Ensure the garments meet the designated aesthetic and anatomical fit requirements.

• Cross-Border Collaboration: Work closely with the product development and design teams in Mexico to understand their vision, and translate their feedback into clear, actionable technical comments for local factories.

• Pattern & Workmanship Analysis: Analyze garment construction, spec measurements, grading, and fabric behavior (shrinkage, stretch, twisting). Troubleshoot pattern or construction issues directly with the factory's technical team.

• Live Fitting & Dummies: Conduct and lead fit sessions on fit dummies or live models, identifying balance issues, drag lines, and pattern defects.

• Quality Assurance Standards: Ensure all developed apparel complies with the measurement standards, quality protocols, and market requirements of the North American/American export market.

• Factory Support: Visit supplier factories during the development and pre-production phases to resolve technical fit issues on-site and ensure bulk production mirrors the approved fit.

• Education: University degree or technical diploma in Garment Technology, Fashion Design, Pattern Making, or a related field.

• Experience: 3–5+ years of actual experience as a Fit Technician, Garment Technologist, or Apparel QA Specialist within a buying office or trading company. Must have proven experience working for the American/North American export market.

• Technical Expertise: Deep knowledge of pattern making, garment construction, sewing workmanship, and size grading for both Knits and Wovens.

• Language: Strong oral and written English communication skills (essential for direct communication with Mexico HQ and factory technical teams).

• Skills: Highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of working with minimal supervision in a fast-paced environment.
