The Purchasing & Logistics Manager will be responsible for strategic planning, supply chain optimization, and comprehensive management of the company's procurement and import-export operations. The ideal candidate must possess sharp management acumen, deep logistics expertise, and the ability to lead a team to achieve cost-efficiency and operational excellence.

Job Objectives

• Establish and execute overall procurement and logistics management strategies to optimize costs and ensure sustainable supply.
• Lead the team to meet deadlines, quality standards, and compliance with legal regulations.

Key Responsibilities

• Procurement Strategy & Supplier Management:
• Formulate strategic sourcing plans for laboratory equipment, tools, and consumables.
• Directly negotiate master agreements, payment terms, and delivery schedules with major partners to optimize the budget.
• Build and maintain a network of strategic suppliers; conduct periodic performance evaluations to ensure competitiveness and mitigate supply chain risks.
• Logistics & Import-Export Management:
• Take primary responsibility for coordinating and controlling the import-export process of goods, ensuring smooth and timely customs clearance.
• Oversee the preparation of customs documentation and collaborate with forwarders and authorities to resolve any emerging issues.
• Ensure all records are stored and ready for customs audits and post-clearance inspections.
• Warehouse & Financial Management:
• Establish a scientific inventory management system, controlling optimal stock levels and minimizing loss.
• Approve Debit Notes and payment plans, coordinating closely with the Finance department.
• Leadership & Team Development:
• Manage, train, and mentor staff to ensure adherence to company processes and policies.
• Report directly to the Board of Directors on operational efficiency and system improvement proposals.

Qualifications

• Experience: Minimum of 7 years of experience in Purchasing/Logistics, with at least 2–3 years in a similar management position.
• Education: Bachelor’s degree or higher in Foreign Trade, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or Economics.
• Language: Fluent in English (4 skills), capable of working directly with foreign partners and handling complex international documents.
• Skills:
• Excellent leadership, strategic thinking, and problem-solving skills.
• Deep understanding of international trade laws, customs regulations, and import-export procedures.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and inventory management/ERP software.
• Preferred: Candidates with experience in the Biotechnology field or laboratory equipment industries.
