Product Lead

Responsibilities:

Vulcan Labs is building a portfolio of 40+ consumer mobile apps across EdTech, Healthcare, Entertainment, Productivity, and more — serving millions of users globally. Our apps are distributed across iOS and Android, monetized through in-app purchases and advertising.
As Product Lead for App Portfolio, you will own the product strategy and execution for a defined set of high-priority apps within the portfolio. You'll lead a small team of Product Owners, work closely with Marketing, Engineering, and Design, and report directly to the Head of Product.
This is a role for someone who thrives in a fast-moving, multi-product environment — someone who can zoom out to see the portfolio, zoom in to solve a specific product problem, and build the people around them at the same time.

As Product Leader in our team, you will:

Product Strategy & Roadmap

• Define and maintain product roadmaps for your assigned app portfolio, balancing growth, monetization, and quality objectives
• Identify growth opportunities and product-market fit signals across apps at different lifecycle stages — some scaling, some exploring, some in maintenance
• Own the quarterly planning and alignment process with Engineering, AI, and Marketing teams

Team Leadership

• Manage, mentor, and develop 4–6 Product Owners at Junior and Mid-level
• Build a culture of user-centric thinking, structured experimentation, and data-informed decisions within the team
• Support POs in improving their user research, product sense, and stakeholder communication skills
• Conduct regular 1-1s, performance reviews, and development planning for each direct report

Execution & Quality

• Drive product quality across your portfolio — retention rates, crash rates, ANR rates, store ratings, and user satisfaction
• Ensure apps meet platform standards (Google Play and App Store) and maintain their store presence
• Work with shared Engineering resources (AI, Backend) to align priorities, plan delivery, and resolve dependencies
• Review and challenge product decisions from your team — feature specs, prioritization rationale, research findings
• Business Alignment
• Collaborate closely with the Marketing Lead, whose team handles user acquisition and monetization for most apps in the portfolio
• Ensure product KPIs (retention, engagement, product quality metrics) are tracked alongside financial metrics and presented to leadership monthly
• Flag risks and opportunities early — to the Head of Product and to the Marketing Lead — with clear context and a proposed path forward

What We're Looking For:
This is a role that requires breadth, not just depth.
You'll be managing multiple products across multiple domains simultaneously. We're looking for someone who can context-switch, stay structured, and develop people — all at the same time.
Must-Have Experience

• 5+ years in Product Management
• Data-driven product decisions
• Led or mentored at least 2 years
• Cross-functional stakeholder management
• Mobile apps (iOS and/or Android)
• App quality metrics (retention, crash, ANR)
• IAP or IAA monetization models
• Worked with or alongside a Marketing team

Strong Plus

• Experience in an app studio or multi-product environment — managing several apps simultaneously
• Familiarity with AI-powered product features or AI product development
• Experience with ASO (App Store Optimization) or app lifecycle management
• Track record of developing junior PMs — coaching, feedback, structured growth plans
• Comfortable with ambiguity and operating without a full playbook
