Medical Affairs Manager

We are looking for a strategic and science-driven ASEA Geo-Expansion Medical Lead to drive medical strategy across ASEA markets for new product expansion. This role plays a critical part in ensuring scientific excellence, compliance, and unlocking growth through evidence-based innovation.

Mission & Tasks

Zone Medical Lead For ASEA Countries

- Lead and manage medical strategy and objectives for assigned new Geo-expansion brands

- Evaluate and define a portfolio approach for science value creation.

- Ensure clear priorities are defined in alignment with Science Affairs vision and priorities.

- Promote scientific innovation opportunities through proactive cross- functional contribution that align with brand direction.

Country Medical Lead For ASEA

- Accountable for Zone Geo-expansion medical strategy, claims and HCP strategy for New products s planned to be available in the ASEA.

- Responsible to interact with all the appropriate stakeholders to ensure compliance according to Zone Geo expansion and global requirements and Opella policies.

- Ensure medical environment and requirements are well understood and considered in New products business strategies.

Key Responsibilities

- Provides strategic medical support to the scientific affairs team for Opella business

- Act as the primary contact for medical governance requirements within Opella ASEA.

- Provides New products related medical inputs for assigned Opella brands, activities as well as Zone Geo expansion ASEA brands and activities

- Delivers Provides medical support to the Brand, Innovation and Commercial teams in the recruitment and development of key opinion leaders, advocacy initiatives and medical affairs activities

- Provides medical expertise to support and enhance claims generation and substantiation, ensuring scientific credibility and brand relevance

- Develops Science content and training for assigned brands as well as Zone Geo expansion adaptation to lead training for commercial team (train the trainer concept)

- Acts as the Medical Information lead for the Opella ASEA and the backup Medical Information Lead for Singapore.

- Provides medical support to Quality Assurance, in ensuring patient safety

- Supports Regulatory Affairs in scientific requirements

- Reviews and approves promotional and scientific materials

- Evaluate & define a brand approach for Science value creation (Science Formula), and creation of HCP strategy with clear priorities defined and aligned with brand strategy for assigned brands

- Ensure delivery of medical commitments at a Zone level by clearly defining the desired outcome(s) from prioritized activities defined in medical strategies, and define operational milestones to deliver on these medical commitments

- Promote scientific innovation opportunities across our portfolio through proactive cross- functional contribution to global strategic medical brand plans or developing ASEA Science plans (Science Formula) that align with ASEA brand and country overall strategy.

- Key medical information (MI) management activities: create and maintain response documents, assess customer needs and provide effective solutions through regular data analysis, generate metrics, reports, dashboards and insights, oversee and train front-line MI Vendor, conduct quality checks

- Partner with R&D, Consumer Evidence and Global/AMEA/ASEA medical to address strategic data gaps

- Ensure Opella ASEA Medical governance is implemented and ensure company/ industry standards are maintained at all the times

- Ensure compliance to Zone legislative requirements and proactive champion the compliance agenda with the business by upholding Opella Internal Standards

- Complete in timely manner audit and inspection observations in close interaction with Global/local expansion Functions.

Advanced degree in Life Sciences, Pharmacy, or Medicine (PharmD / MD / PhD preferred)

- 8–10+ years of experience in Medical Affairs / Scientific Affairs (FMCG, Pharma, or Consumer Health)

- Strong experience in: Medical strategy & claims development / Product launch or geo-expansion / HCP engagement & stakeholder management

- Good understanding of: GxP and medical governance AND Regulatory and compliance requirements in ASEA markets

- Proven regional experience across ASEA markets (e.g., managing multi-country scope, working with diverse regulatory environments) Proven ability to work in a matrix, cross-functional and regional environment

- Strong communication and stakeholder influencing skills

- Agile, proactive, and innovation-driven mindset.
