You advise clinicians directly. You own compliance. You train staff hands-on. You fix problems, not delegate them away.

This is not a meetings-and-reports role. You are a doer.

What You'll Do (Every Day)

✓ Validate test results yourself (hematology, chemistry, microbiology, immunoassay) — you sign off, you own it

✓ Talk directly to clinicians about what results mean (test interpretation, methodology, clinical significance)

✓ Run quality control, proficiency testing, diagnostic accuracy checks — hands-on

✓ Develop lab protocols and SOPs — based on real work you're doing✓ Train staff by doing the work alongside them (not lecturing from above)

✓ Spot inefficiencies and fix them (process improvements, automation, quality gains)

✓ Ensure ISO 15189 compliance through action, not paperwork

• Medical degree (MD) with Vietnamese medical license

• Postgraduate qualification in Lab Medicine, Clinical Pathology, or equivalent

• 5–7 years hands-on clinical lab experience (hospital, diagnostics, university)

• Deep expertise in 2–3 lab disciplines (from doing the work)

• You've advised clinicians on test interpretation and methodology (direct, real conversations)

• You've mentored junior staff by working alongside them

• You spot quality gaps and compliance issues independently (from hands-on work)

• Ambitious: you want more responsibility, impact, leadership — but still want to do real workIf Starting as Head of Laboratory (Option B):

• Medical degree (MD) with Vietnamese medical license

• Postgraduate qualification in Lab Medicine or Clinical Pathology (Master's preferred)

• 7+ years managing clinical lab operations (hands-on, not just supervising)

• Deep expertise in 2–3 lab disciplines (from doing the work)

• Proven ISO 15189 accreditation and audit experience (you did it, not delegated it)

• Led teams of 20+ lab staff; managed budgets and capex (based on operational reality)

• Proactive in seeking new techniques, improve process sufficiency via automation (you implement, not just approve)

• Track record in inventory forecasting, supplier negotiation, cost optimization (hands-on decisions)

• You're a doer: you want an org where you actually do the work, not just attend meetings

Non-Negotiables:

• Medical degree (MD) + Vietnamese medical license (active, in good standing)

• Postgraduate training in Laboratory Medicine, Clinical Pathology, or related specialty

• Deep hands-on lab experience (not administrative, not theoretical)

• LIMS proficiency; comfortable with lab automation

• Fluent in English (spoken and written)
