IT Specialist

Position Summary:

We are looking for a Cloud & Digital Workplace-oriented IT Specialist to support and evolve UOBAM Vietnam’s cloud-first technology environment.

This role focuses on Microsoft 365, Google Cloud Platform (GCP), and secure access architecture, while ensuring operational stability.

The successful candidate will be part of UOBAM Group Business Technology (GBT), supporting a unified regional technology operating model. The role will help balance group-wide strategy with local market needs, ensuring the successful rollout of GBT standards, consistent governance, and strong alignment between regional and local teams.

The role will have a primary local reporting line to the Vietnam Head of IT (Local Head of IT).

In parallel, the individual will operate under a matrix reporting structure, with functional alignment to the relevant IT Ops / Cloud / Digital Workplace Tower Leads within GBT.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Cloud & Digital Workplace Platforms

• Support and operate Microsoft 365 environment (Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint, Intune)

• Assist in managing cloud platforms (GCP) including provisioning, access, and monitoring

• Support identity and access management (e.g. Azure AD / Entra ID, MFA, conditional access)

• Ensure alignment with Group cloud architecture and governance standards

2. Target Architecture & Platform Ownership

• Maintain visibility of platform distribution across:

o Windows-based environments (endpoints, AD, M365 integration)

o Linux-based environments (cloud workloads and application hosting where applicable)

• Support implementation of target cloud architecture and standardisation across Vietnam

• Work with GBT teams to document and align to architecture baselines

3. Secure Access & Networking

• Support and operate Zscaler (ZIA/ZPA) for secure internet and application access

• Troubleshoot connectivity and access issues across cloud and endpoint environments

• Ensure user access aligns with Group security policies

4. Operations & Service Reliability

• Ensure operational stability of cloud and workplace platforms, including:

o Incident management and resolution within SLA

o Vendor coordination and escalation

o Continuous improvement and simplification of support processes

• Support and validate local backup executions with NAS and BCP/DR executions, work with GBT if any backup failures.

5. Security, Risk & Compliance

• Support implementation of security controls aligned to cloud and workplace environments

• Assist in audit, risk management, and regulatory compliance requirements

6. Projects & Regional Alignment

• Support delivery of cloud, workplace, and infrastructure projects in Vietnam

• Collaborate with UOBAM Group Business Technology (GBT) teams under a single integrated regional model, ensuring adherence to group standards, shared platforms, and consistent delivery practices

• Contribute to a matrix operating model, working with both local leadership and regional tower leads.

Support initiatives that promote standardisation, reuse, and cross-market collaboration across GBT

Qualifications and Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or a related field

• 2–3 years of experience in IT or related roles

• Hands-on experience with:

o Microsoft 365 (Exchange, Teams, SharePoint, Intune)

o Endpoint/device management (Intune or equivalent)

o Identity & access management (MFA, SSO, conditional access)

• Experience or exposure to cloud platforms (Azure and/or Google Cloud)

• Understanding of:

o Networking fundamentals

o Windows Server administration

o Cloud workload concepts

• Exposure to the following is an advantage

o Zscaler or secure access technologies

o SQL or basic programming

o Financial services systems / projects

Skills and Attributes:

• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills

• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment

• Good communication skills (English mandatory)

• Collaborative mindset across local and regional teams

• Customer-oriented with focus on customer experience
