IT Senior Supervisor

Job Overview:

The IT PMO is responsible for supporting the planning, coordination, and execution of IT projects related to systems and applications at MUJI Vietnam. This role ensures project activities are tracked effectively, stakeholders are aligned, and project progress is clearly reported. The position focuses on execution discipline, communication, and delivery tracking, contributing to stable and efficient implementation of business systems.

Scope of work and responsibilities:

• Develop project plans, including execution timeline, key milestones, and risk identification; propose mitigation or contingency actions.

• Proactively listen to and collect user feedback and propose future improvement or development ideas for systems and applications.

• Coordinate work between the IT Application team, business departments, and external vendors to ensure alignment and timely execution.

• Drive the management of source code repositories as company assets, ensuring proper governance and readiness for future in-house development

• Monitor project progress, follow up on tasks, and support resolution of delays to ensure project delivery according to plan.

• Receive and track project issues; maintain risk and issue logs throughout the project lifecycle.

• Manage Change Requests (CR): record, track, support impact assessment, and coordinate approval and implementation.

• Prepare periodic reports, including weekly and monthly progress updates, highlighting status, risks, and key issues.

• Proactive organization of project meetings (kickoff, progress updates, demo) and follow up on action items.

• Assist in basic validation of deliverables and support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) coordination with users.

Ability, knowledge and skills required for work:

• Understanding one of IT project management and system implementation processes (Agile/Scrum/Waterfall).

• Good coordination and task follow-up capability, with ability to manage multiple activities simultaneously.

• Strong communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with business users, IT teams, and vendors.

• Ability to communicate in English for daily work, including meetings, emails, and coordination with external partners.

• Good analytical thinking and problem-solving capability in handling project issues.

• Careful, detail-oriented, and disciplined in documentation and progress tracking.

• High sense of responsibility, proactive attitude, and ability to work under pressure.

Experience:

• 3–5 years of experience in IT project coordination or project management.

• Experience in implementation or enhancement of systems such as POS, ERP, CRM, mobile app, or internal systems is an advantage

• Experience working with cross-functional teams and vendors.

• Experience in retail or multi-system environments is an advantage.

• Fluent English

• Knowledge of Japanese is an advantage.
