Interior Design 'draftsperson'

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Full time role working closely alongside Australian/ Local Design Teams. Translating concepts and sketches into detailed precise 2D/ 3D Construction Drawings.

• Develop documentation packages inc. Marketing | Tender | Design Development | Construction Drawings.

Maintain drawing registers and revisions in accordance with project protocols.

• Information/ Drawing management incl conflict detection alongside building services coordination.

• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.

Ability to manage deadlines across multiple projects.

• Good understanding of quality Joinery detailing alongside building services coordination.

Incl Interior construction methodology and material knowledge.

o Coordinating with consultants and builders/ contractors.

o Ensuring compliance with:

 Local building Codes and Regulations.

 Fire and Accessibility requirements.

 Appliance, Material and Fittings specifications.

o Quality Control via:

 Sanity drawing checks for accuracy, completeness, and consistency.

 Ensuring documentation aligns with office standards and templates.

 Assist in internal QA/QC reviews before issue.

QUALIFICATIONS:

- Diploma/ Degree: Interior Design/ Architecture or related Drafting field

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:

2- 5+ Years experience in Interior Documentation (Adjustable based on candidate experience levels)

- Ability to work and complete tasks in given time frames.

- Improvements proposals and contributing creative solutions.

- Collaboration & coordination across other specialists.

i.e ARCH/ MEP/ Structure/ Landscape etc

- Incorporate consultant information into coordinated sets

- Identify and resolve clashes/ inconsistencies across drawings.

- Experience delivering construction documentation packages

- Development of detailed joinery and bespoke interior elements

- Experience with Residential, Commercial or hospitality interiors.

- Software Proficiency in:

o Archicad/ Revit/ Autocad

o Adobe Creative Suite

o Microsoft Office Suite

Optional (But preferred as a bonus)

o Australian project experience.

o BIM Systems and application.

o Development of working Templates alongside Building Standards.

o Team Leaders

Experience leading documentation packages and team of juniors.
