Hydraulic Design Engineer

Our Client is an engineering company specializing in the design and manufacturing of medium- to large-scale industrial equipment incorporating hydraulic and electrical systems.
For major components such as hydraulic cylinders, cranes, and hydraulic power units, they work closely with specialized vendors. However, their engineers do far more than simply purchase and integrate these products. They are responsible for defining detailed technical specifications based on equipment requirements, understanding the capabilities and limitations of vendor products, and leading customization, technical reviews, testing, and troubleshooting activities.
While their primary applications are in marine equipment, the core competencies required are highly transferable from industries such as industrial machinery, land-based plants, factory facilities, heavy equipment, and automation systems.
Key ResponsibilitiesDesign hydraulic systems including cylinders, cranes, and hydraulic power units (HPUs)Review and engineer hydraulic specifications for project-specific equipmentCoordinate technically with hydraulic cylinder, crane, and heavy equipment vendors and define detailed specificationsPerform load, operating pressure, and stroke calculations, and select appropriate componentsSupport equipment testing and on-site troubleshootingCollaborate with electrical control engineers and the Singapore headquarters to coordinate project engineering activities

Minimum 5 years of practical experience in hydraulic/mechanical system designExperience working with hydraulic cylinder, crane, or heavy equipment vendors on technical discussions and specification developmentEnglish proficiency is optionalCandidates must be able to work in VietnameseExperience with hydraulic systems for land-based plants or factory facilitiesUnderstanding of electrical control systems and ability to collaborate effectively with electrical engineersStrong troubleshooting skills, project leadership experience, and willingness to travelMarine or shipbuilding experience is not required. English proficiency is optional, and candidates must be able to work in Vietnamese.

- Basic salary: 38,000,000 – 53,000,000 VND (negotiable depending on experience);
- Fixed allowance: 2,000,000 VND;
