Deputy Logistics Director

Our client is a leading manufacturer in the electrical cable industry, seeking an experienced professional to join their firm.
 

Role Purpose: Lead the Warehouse & Logistics and Sales Planning functions, translating commercial strategy into an effective supply-chain operating model. Ensure inventory, warehousing, transportation, order fulfillment and sales planning support business growth, service quality and cost efficiency.
 

• Develop logistics, inventory and sales-planning strategies, annual plans, budgets, KPIs and resource plans.
• Lead warehouse network, transportation capacity, inventory governance and logistics service performance.
• Drive demand forecasting and Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP), aligning sales, production, supply and warehouse capacity.
• Monitor order fulfillment, on-time delivery, inventory quality, operating cost and customer service levels.
• Lead digital-transformation and continuous-improvement initiatives using systems such as SAP, WMS and TMS.
• Build leadership capability, succession plans and performance-management mechanisms for the functions.

• Bachelor’s degree or above in Business Administration, Logistics/Supply Chain Management, Economics, Commerce, Industrial Management or a related field.
• At least 10 years in logistics, warehousing or supply chain, including at least 5 years in senior management.
• Experience with large distribution networks and logistics/supply-chain digital transformation is preferred.
• Working English is an advantage.

Key Stakeholders:

• Internal: Warehouse & Logistics, Sales Planning, Sales, Production, Finance and other Sales Division teams.
• External: 3PL providers, transporters, warehouse lessors, technology vendors, distributors, key customers and consultants.
