We are seeking an experienced Customs Declaration Specialist to oversee our end-to-end import/export clearance processes, with a focus on electronics and cosmetics. In this role, you will independently manage electronic system filings, coordinate directly with customs authorities, and resolve operational bottlenecks to ensure seamless, compliant supply chain operations.

Key Responsibilities

• System Operations & Documentation: Independently operate the official electronic customs declaration platform (e.g., VNACCS/VCIS). Accurately enter data, assemble, verify, and archive complete import/export documentation packages (invoices, packing lists, C/O, permit applications).

• Compliance & Risk Management: Monitor full clearance workflows to ensure strict adherence to local customs regulations, specialized inspection requirements, and classification norms, proactively mitigating compliance risks.

• On-Site Coordination & Issue Resolution: Handle on-site customs interactions and resolve clearance anomalies efficiently, including physical inspections, document amendments, price consultations, HS code disputes, and cargo holds.

• Audit & Policy Tracking: Maintain organized, audit-ready files for all customs declarations, duty receipts, and clearance documentation. Continuously track updates to tariff schedules, customs laws, and trade policies.

• Support additional supply chain or trade compliance tasks assigned by leadership.

Working hours: Monday to Saturday morning.

- Statement: Candidates can work from home temporarily and will rent an office again when the business is stable.

• Experience: Proven hands-on experience independently managing the full local customs clearance lifecycle. Background in cosmetics or electronics clearance is highly preferred.

• Technical Expertise: Highly proficient in operating electronic customs filing systems. Deep knowledge of trade compliance, HS code classification, and regulatory permit processes.

• Language Skills: Proficient in either Chinese or English (business-fluent verbal and written communication for daily operational needs).

• Soft Skills: Strong problem-solving abilities, high adaptability under pressure, and excellent negotiation/communication skills with customs authorities.
