Business Process & Automation Analyst (12-Month Contractor)

Job Description

The Business Process & Automation Analyst supports ADM Vietnam's Commercial team by driving process automation, enhancing reporting capabilities, and improving data accessibility across Microsoft Power Platform tools (Power BI, Power Automate, and Power Apps).

Working closely with the Business Analyst, this role focuses on digitizing manual processes, reducing operational inefficiencies, and supporting the development of a structured commercial data environment. The successful candidate will gradually take ownership of automation solutions and contribute to the team's digital transformation initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

• Build, maintain, and enhance Power BI dashboards and automated reports for the Commercial team, while supporting automation initiatives across other functions such as Operations.

• Design and implement Power Automate workflows to digitize manual processes, including report generation, data entry, approval workflows, and other repetitive tasks.

• Maintain and enhance existing Python-based reporting scripts, while supporting the migration of Excel-based processes into scalable automation solutions.

• Leverage AI tools (e.g., Microsoft Copilot, ChatGPT, Claude, or similar) to accelerate reporting, data cleaning, troubleshooting, documentation, and proactively identify opportunities to automate manual work.

• Support the long-term development of a structured commercial database by translating business logic (pricing, freight, Incoterms, etc.) into scalable data structures alongside the Business Analyst.

• Collaborate with regional IT teams to coordinate technical requests beyond the scope of the role.

• Develop a practical understanding of commodity trading concepts (such as CFR, FOB, CIF pricing, basis, and futures linkages) to better interpret and manage commercial data.

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Information Systems, Computer Science, Supply Chain, or a related field.

• 1-3 years of experience in business intelligence, reporting, automation, or data analytics.

• Hands-on experience with Power BI and Power Automate; knowledge of Power Apps and Python is a plus.

• Strong analytical mindset with a passion for process improvement and automation.

• Proactive, self-driven learner with the ability to quickly adopt new technologies, including AI tools.

• Fluent English, with the ability to communicate and collaborate effectively with regional APAC teams.
