The Associate Planner, Asia Logistics plays a vital role in ensuring Ashley Furniture has products at the right place, at the right time, cost effectively. This role is responsible for the logistics planning and execution of Ashley Furniture’s logistics partners and supply base.

1. Standardize and centralize the air/ocean freight booking process where necessary to optimize Ashley’s use of the carrier allocations.

2. Meet routinely with the air/ocean freight carriers to establish strong relations, expand understanding of working processes, and identify areas for continuous improvement.

3. Provide training to new suppliers about the booking process of Ashley carriers and other Ashley Furniture requirements.

4. Review the bookings coverage of each of Ashley’s vendors on a weekly basis, working with carriers to adjust bookings as needed.

5. Review the historical and future bookings plan by carrier to manage the percent of the carrier allocation that is fulfilled weekly, escalating shortfalls to the carriers to identify solutions.

6. Meet regularly with the Logistics Leaders to align on best practices, brainstorm solutions to problems, and drive continuous improvement efforts.

7. Partner with other teams of Supply Chain to identify urgent purchase orders and customer promotions in need of expedites to choose the fastest transit time options available.

8. Work with suppliers to ensure that all related shipping documents are submitted on time and correct.

9. Escalate issues related to carrier routing, rates, or contracts to the Logistics Leader and US International Logistics team.

Yêu cầu công việc

• Bachelor’s degree in supply chain/Logistic, or a related field, or industry equivalent experience – Required

• Communication skills: This includes the ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing in English.

• Analytical and problem-solving skills: This includes the ability to gather and analyze data, identify problems, and develop solutions.

• Time Management: effectively allocates time and resources to meet deadlines, manage multiple tasks, and prioritize activities in a dynamic supply.
