Associate Lawyer

1. AN OVERVIEW OF THE POSITION

The Associate Lawyer will be responsible for supporting the Managing Partner and higher positions with flexible times and places.

2. JOB DESCRIPTION

- Developing, expanding and maintaining client relationships and professional networks; actively participating in business development activities, identifying potential clients and contributing to the firm’s growth initiatives;

- Preparing, reviewing and providing legal advice to clients on various aspects of Vietnam laws, particularly in relation to corporate, investment, commercial contracts, licensing, sub-licenses, compliance, labor, M&A, real estate, personal data protection and other related legal matters;

- Advising and assisting clients in establishment, restructuring and operational matters, including preparation and implementation of licensing procedures such as Enterprise Registration Certificate (ERC), Investment Registration Certificate (IRC), business licenses, sub-licenses and other specialized permits required for business operations in Vietnam;

- Liaising and working with competent authorities to address clients’ requirements, follow up on ongoing matters and support licensing, compliance and operational procedures;

- Supervising and managing projects to ensure timely delivery, quality control and alignment with clients’ expectations and budgets;

- Conducting legal research, monitoring legal updates and supporting internal and client compliance systems to ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations;

- Participating in dispute resolution matters, including supporting negotiations, settlement discussions and coordination with relevant authorities or external counsels where required;

- Supervising, mentoring and training junior associates, trainees and legal assistants;

- Coordinating with internal teams and performing other assignments delegated by partners or senior lawyers from time to time.

Yêu cầu công việc

- Holding an LLB, LLM, or another equivalent degree in Law;

- Being qualified as a practicing lawyer or currently awaiting issuance of the Lawyer Practicing Certificate

- Having at least 1-2 years of working experience with a law firm and/or as an in-house lawyer in charge of transactions, contracts, corporation, sub-licenses, and M&A;

- Having strong experience in working with government agencies/courts;

- Having logical thinking, good analytics, strong presentation and negotiating skills;

- Reading and writing English fluently while speaking and listening at an intermediate level (proficiency in other languages is an advantage).
