Apparel Merchandiser

Job Summary:

- Get involved and support the team in planning and development of apparel products.

- Be a middle person between design, production, and sales teams to ensure that textile materials and trims/accessories etc are well prepared in line with customer requirements, market trends, and company profitability goals.

Key Responsibilities:

• Partner closely with Design and Product Development to propose and source innovative and trend-right materials, trims, and accessories.

• Lead seasonal planning for material sourcing and procurement, based on

forecasting and sales trends.

• Manage relationships with key vendors, factories, and mills to ensure on-time sample development, production, and delivery.

• Oversee the preparation of cost breakdowns, negotiate prices and terms, and optimize material usage for margin improvement.

• Monitor and analyze material stock levels and production timelines to prevent delays or shortages.

• Anticipate and troubleshoot any quality, material, or supply chain issues that may impact on the product lifecycle.

• Ensure all materials meet brand standards in quality, compliance, and cost

efficiency.

• Provide mentorship and guidance to junior merchandising staff.

• Visit local and regional factories as needed to manage timelines and ensure production accuracy.

• Bachelor’s degree in Fashion Merchandising, Textile Engineering, or a related field.

• Minimum of 5-10 years’ experience in apparel merchandising or product development (experience in global brands or ODM/OEM settings preferred).

• Proven ability to manage multiple product categories and seasons in parallel.

• Strong sourcing network and vendor negotiation experience.

• Deep knowledge of fabric characteristics, garment construction, and apparel manufacturing processes.

• Fluent in English (Korean language proficiency is a strong plus).

• Proactive, detail-oriented, and capable of working under tight deadlines.

• Willing to travel domestically for factory visits and vendor meetings.
