Main Purpose of the Position

• IT Associate Manager – BI & Automation is responsible for leading and delivering Data, BI, and Automation solutions in Vietnam. This role acts as the key local contact working with business teams, Regional/Group IT, and external vendors to provide reliable, secure, and scalable data and automation platforms.

Job Responsibilities

Data Platform & Architecture

• Own the local data platform architecture (SQL Server, Data Warehouse, Lakehouse/Fabric).

• Define and maintain data models and integration standards (APIs, ETL/ELT).

• Ensure system reliability, performance, and disaster recovery.

• Follow Group security, data protection, and audit requirements (PDPA/GDPR).

Data Governance & Quality

• Apply basic data governance practices (metadata, lineage, documentation).

• Improve data quality through validation, monitoring, and root-cause fixes.

• Work with business teams to ensure consistent data standards and master data usage.

BI & Analytics Delivery

• Own and execute the Vietnam BI roadmap aligned with Regional/Group direction.

• Deliver dashboards and analytics using Power BI or equivalent tools.

• Maintain a shared semantic layer and measure library for consistent reporting.

• Translate business needs into clear technical solutions.

• Drive user adoption through training and documentation.

Automation & Digital Process Improvement

• Design and deliver automation using Power Automate, Power Apps, RPA, or similar tools.

• Build reusable workflows with proper monitoring and error handling.

• Identify automation opportunities to improve efficiency and data accuracy.

Stakeholder & Vendor Management

• Act as the main contact for Regional/Group IT and external vendors on Data, BI, and Automation.

• Manage priorities, timelines, risks, and communication across initiatives.

• Ensure solutions comply with Group architecture and governance standards.

Leadership & Team Development

• Lead and coach the local Data / BI / Automation team.

• Set development standards and promote best practices.

• Encourage continuous improvement and knowledge sharing.

Other Responsibilities

• Lead local Data, BI, and Automation projects end to end.

• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Personal Qualifications / Competencies<

Personal Qualifications / Competencies

• 5+ years of experience in Data, BI, Analytics, or Automation.

• At least 2 year in a team lead or senior role.

• Strong SQL skills; experience with SQL Server or Azure databases is an advantage.

• Hands-on experience with Power BI (Tableau or Qlik is a plus).

• Experience with cloud data platforms (Azure, Microsoft Fabric, or similar).

• Understanding of data modeling and data governance concepts.

• Experience delivering data or BI projects (local or regional).

• Exposure to automation tools (Power Automate, RPA) is a plus.

• Comfortable with at least one programming language (Python, C#, JavaScript, etc.).

• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.

• Business-level English for working with regional/global teams and vendors.

• FMCG, Finance, or Accounting knowledge is an advantage (not mandatory).

Educational / Minimum Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, Data Engineering, or related field.

• Equivalent hands-on experience will be considered in place of formal education.
