IT Senior Manager will lead the technology function as a strategic business partner, enabling the company’s transformation agenda through reliable IT operations, modern business applications, automation, data-driven decision making, and disciplined project delivery.

The role is accountable for moving IT from an infrastructure-led support function to a proactive enabler of business growth, productivity, control, and scalability across Vietnam operations. The incumbent will, translate business needs into practical technology solutions, and ensure end-to-end ownership of IT projects from problem definition to adoption and measurable business impact.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

1. IT Strategy and Transformation Roadmap

• Develop and execute a 2–3 year IT and digital transformation roadmap aligned with business priorities, Finance objectives, operational efficiency, controls, and growth plans.

• Proactive business partnering by identifying opportunities for automation, simplification, standardization, and better data visibility.

2. Business Partnership

• Work closely with Sales, Supply Chain, Finance, Marketing, HR, Legal, and Operations to understand business pain points and convert them into clear technology requirements and deliverables.

• Constructively challenge business requests, clarify root causes, evaluate alternatives, and recommend fit-for-purpose with end-to-end execution.

3. Business Applications and Systems Modernization

• Own the performance, enhancement, integration, and adoption of core business applications including ERP, DMS, sales force systems, reporting tools, workflow platforms, and other local applications.

• Reduce dependency on manual workarounds and legacy tools by introducing scalable, secure, and user-friendly solutions.

4. Automation and Process Improvement

• Build and maintain a prioritized automation pipeline across repetitive, manual, control-sensitive, and productivity-heavy processes.

• Drive measurable improvements in cycle time, accuracy, visibility, and user productivity through workflow automation, reporting dashboards, low-code tools, AI-enabled solutions, and process redesign where appropriate.

5. Project Ownership and Delivery Governance

• Take end-to-end accountability for IT projects, from business case and solution design to implementation, change management, user training, adoption, and post-go-live benefit tracking.

• Establish disciplined project governance, including clear owners, milestones, risks, dependencies, escalation paths, budgets, and success measures.

6. IT Infrastructure, Service Delivery, and Reliability

• Ensure stable, secure, and cost-effective IT infrastructure across offices, plants, warehouses, distributors, and field users, including network, devices, collaboration tools, backups, and service desk support.

• Improve service management through defined SLAs, ticket analytics, root-cause analysis, preventive actions, and user satisfaction measurement.

7. Data, Reporting, and Decision Support

• Strengthen data quality, master data discipline, reporting governance, and integration across systems to enable faster and more reliable business decisions.

• Partner with Finance and business teams to deliver dashboards and analytics that improve visibility on sales, inventory, profitability, costs, controls, and operational KPIs.

8. Cybersecurity, Risk, and Compliance

• Maintain effective IT controls, access management, data protection, backup, disaster recovery, cybersecurity awareness, and compliance with corporate policies and local requirements.

• Proactively identify technology, data, vendor, and process risks and ensure timely mitigation with clear ownership.

9. Vendor, Budget, and Asset Management

• Manage IT OPEX, CAPEX, licenses, contracts, assets, procurement, and vendor performance with a focus on cost discipline and service quality.

• Evaluate vendors and technology partners objectively based on capability, scalability, support quality, security, total cost of ownership, and business value.

10. Team Capability Building and Culture Change

• Upgrade the IT team’s capability through support to business applications, automation, analytics, project management, and business partnering.

• Coach & Develop the team with new age solutions, ownership mindset, problem-solving, and stakeholder engagement.

• Bachelor’s degree in information

• Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, Engineering, Business Technology, or related field; MBA or relevant transformation certification is an advantage.

• 10–15 years of IT experience, including at least 5 years in a leadership role in FMCG, retail, manufacturing, distribution, or a similarly process-intensive business.

• Strong working knowledge of ERP, DMS, sales systems, reporting tools, workflow automation, cloud platforms, cybersecurity, infrastructure, and IT service management.

• Proven track record of delivering business applications, automation, analytics, and transformation projects with measurable operational or financial impact.

• Strong project management discipline with ownership of scope, timelines, risks, budgets, vendors, adoption, and post-implementation benefits.

• Commercial and business acumen, with ability to understand P&L drivers, process controls, productivity levers, route-to-market requirements, and operational pain points.

• Ability to challenge requirements, simplify complexity, influence senior stakeholders, and communicate technical topics in business language.

• Strong people leadership, coaching, and change management skills; able to upgrade a legacy-heavy IT team into a more business-facing, application-oriented, and accountable team.

• Fluent Vietnamese and strong English communication skills, including business writing, presentation, vendor negotiation, and regional stakeholder interaction.

• High ownership, structured problem-solving, curiosity for emerging technologies, and practical judgment to balance innovation, cost, risk, and business adoption.
