Role Purpose:

This role is to implement thread production in Hung Yen including technical management, supervision and control of dyeing and finishing production processes from the point of order release to confirmation into the FG warehouse.

This role is to ensure timely delivery of production meeting quality standards and expected production run rates required by customers within agreed budgets.

Principal Accountabilities and Key Activities:

Ensure a safe working environment that complies with Coats Health and Safety policies

- Promote Health and Safety within own area.

- Be accountable for delivering health and safety objectives in own area

- Responsibility for ensuring that all operations operate safely and in a manner that increases the likelihood of being accident-free.

- Ensure all employees in operations are adequately trained to carry out the task / role they have been assigned and that all operations are covered by TARA and MSA.

Promote a culture of “Doing the Right Thing” in the area of responsibility.

- Actively promote “Doing the Right Thing” in all forms of communication.

- Responsible for ensuring that the D&F operations are compliant with relevant local laws and regulations such as working hour compliance, reporting of accidents and incidents.

- Communicate any areas of doubts to line manager.

Implement all necessary manufacturing processes to support the production in Hung Yen factory

- Responsible for the overall running of the operations and ensure customer centric KPIs are communicated, understood and clear action plans exist to under pin any gaps between actual and target.

- Responsible for developing stretching KPI for D&F operations and accountable for the correct measurement and reporting of KPIs for D&F.

- Accountable for setting and delivering productivity targets that are agreed with supply chain team for the site.

- Manages cost reduction and productivity improvement initiatives.

- Ensures Coats product quality is within standards to meet customer requirements and manning reflects S&OP demand forecasts and other supporting assumptions are realistic.

- Diagnoses reasons for poor service performance and acts on those reasons to ensure sustainable performance – i.e. the reasons for failure are fixed for good.

- Meet targets for sustainability including water, waste, energy. Develop a pipeline of projects to achieve the result and ensure effective execution. Contribute to the development of the sustainability efforts in the country, sharing knowledge to support others.

Develop and implement training plans for all employees of the areas including the creation of comprehensive site SOPs

- Build a team of competent, reliable resources that have the correct skills, knowledge and abilities to deliver the D&F objectives and have strong succession plan for the site.

- Working with HR and HSE functions to create comprehensive training plans for all positions.

- Write comprehensive SOPs and work instructions (WI) that ensure quality and efficiency can be delivered while ensuring SOPs and WI support training of new employees.

- Create ongoing methods for evaluating individual job performance.

Where necessary work directly with customers to remedy any issues affecting quality or capability to deliver to agreed service targets

- Maintain close links with customers through regular communications with sales teams.

- Identify potential future problems and develop action plans that deal with eliminating future problems.

- Ensure that customer specific performance metrics are incorporated into department targets.

Work with innovation and industrialization teams in delivering in the area new programs or initiatives

- Seek to understand new processes.

- Play an active part in the development of new processes and products along with central teams.

- At least 10 years’ experience in textile or related industry.

- Degree in Engineering (preferably Textile, Chemical or Industrial Engineering)

- Strong manufacturing background, preferably in finish goods

- Experience in multiple Industrial plant processes in a fast-paced and ever-changing environment

- Advanced interpersonal relationship skills at a variety of levels and in greatly differing social and business settings

- Strong leadership skills

- Strong project management capability

- Demonstrated ability to focus on and achieve objectives in a timely manner
