Lead and Drive safe behaviors and continuous improvement in safety performance by consistent implementation of Sodexo HSE procedures and controls across Sodexo Vietnam.

Support the Area HSE Manager, Thailand & Vietnam with the implementation and monitoring of Sodexo HSE policies, procedures and programs to improve HSE operating standards across Sodexo Vietnam business.

Responsible for implementation and monitoring of safety, health, and environment strategies in line with the company’s commitment to continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

HSE Compliance, Policy & Standards

• Ensure legal compliance with existing and proposed legislation.

• Manage and review, implementation and compliance with Sodexo APAC HSE standards, Sodexo Vietnam local regulations and/or requirements.

• Co-ordinate and contribute to the alignment of APAC H&S processes ensuring implementation across Vietnam.

• Implement Sodexo safety programs in across all site in Vietnam.

• Implement and Monitor Sodexo Health & Safety policies, procedures and programs within our Client sites.

• Evaluates HSE plan and ensures that it is consistent with that of the Client.

• Participate in the review process of annual improvement HSE plan.

• Provide reviews inputs and where necessary updates the Health, Safety and Environmental Policy to the Regional Head of HSE.

• Ensures proper implementation and monitoring of Health, Safety and Environment Policy.

• Manage, maintain and continuously improve Health & Safety standards (food and workplace safety related to Food service operations).

• Ensuring the relevant certifications are maintained or achieved as required (e.g. ISO 22000, ISO 9001, OSHAS 18001, and HACCP).

• Develop and implement BCP as the business requires.

Risk Assessment, Audit & Corrective Actions

• Ensure the availability of the risk assessments at the business sites.

• Train and coach unit managers, chief engineers, and HSE representatives on site to perform risk assessments.

• Carry out Safety Walks on a regular basis.

• Conduct Internal Audits and complete audit reports with action plans.

• Audit site monthly, recommend, and propose corrective action plans and follow up.

• Conduct follow-up inspections and ensure audit actions are ‘closed out’ by sites.

• Participate in HSE audits by external inspectors.

Incident Management

• Ensure all incidents (injuries; damage; near misses) are reported in Salus (Sodexo’s incident reporting software) and investigated.

• Conducts the investigation, as appropriate, of all significant accidents or incidents within the sites.

• Complete Root Cause Analysis investigations for all lost incidents.

• Informs immediately thru proper escalation procedures of any crisis situations.

HSE Awareness, Training & Safety Culture

• Engage and lead safe behaviors amongst Segment and Service Operations teams.

• Set up educational programs and campaigns to promote safety culture at work and environmental awareness and effective HSE strategies for management.

• Increase HSE Awareness at all levels within the organization.

• Establish safety committee and conduct monthly safety committee meeting to solve any occurring safety issues and improve safety in premises and works.

• Coordinate the HSE training of the site employees and conduct HSE Induction at HQ.

• Issues Health, Safety & Environment Bulletins to the contract sites.

Reporting & Performance Monitoring

• Prepare a monthly report for Operations Director and Regional Head of HSE relating to safety activities for all sites/ accounts.

• Maintain HSE statistics and generate accurate reports.

• Analyze and report key performance measures related to HSE.

• Provides and generates proper and appropriate advises and timely reports to management and to the Client.

• Provides regular communications and feedback to client’s contract management team regarding Health, Safety and Environmental performance.

Client & Site Support

• Meet Clients and address client HSE challenges where required.

• Ensures proper coordination with the client and other relevant parties regarding Health, Safety and Environment issues.

• Provide mobilization support to all new sites, conduct pre-opening Food hygiene & safety inspection and make recommendations accordingly to findings.

• Act as an Occupational Health (Ergonomic) & Safety representative for the company.

Additional Assignment

• Security services.

• Pest control service.

• Interacting with respective regional SO team on security/ pest control services.

Required Profile

• A relevant Occupational Health & Safety

Required Profile

• A relevant Occupational Health & Safety or related discipline, with either:

o A formal qualification, with some experience, or o No formal qualification but extensive skills and experience in this field.

• Bachelor of Science in Occupational Health and Safety or 5 -10 years experience in Health and safety especially in industrialised sectors.

• Minimum 4 years experience in the service industry.

• Experience in OHSAS 18001 and ISO standards.

• Working knowledge of the statutory requirements and their application in Occupational Health & Safety.

• Thorough knowledge of Occupational Health & Safety legislation.

• Knowledge of government agencies and key stakeholders framework.

• Development, implementation, and management of projects.

• Highly developed communications skills including verbal, written, and formal presentation.

• Computer literate in Microsoft Office and Access.

• Facilitation, training, and coaching skills.

• Excellent time management and teamwork skills.

• Commitment to continuous improvement and best practice.

• Strong customer focus.

• Flexibility to travel throughout Vietnam.
