About This Role

The Draftsperson supports the Documentation Department by preparing Town planning drawings and submissions, working drawings and other relevant construction documents for Westurban projects. This senior role ensures documentation aligns with project requirements, building regulations, and internal standards, while assisting the team in achieving accuracy and compliance.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Drafting & Documentation

- Preparation of Town planning documents and council submission documents

- Update and maintain documentation as designs or project requirements change.

- Preparation of WD to comply with TP, NCC and other relevant regulations

- Preparation of construction details

- Ensure drawings are clear, accurate, and compliant with company standards.

• Support to Estimation & Technical Teams

- Assist estimators and coordinators by providing accurate drawings and updates for costing and planning.

- Liaise with internal stakeholders (estimating, procurement, site teams) to clarify design requirements.

- Support document control by ensuring correct versioning and filing.

• Compliance & Standards

- Draft in accordance with BCA, NCC, and other relevant regulations.

- Follow WestUrban’s drafting standards, templates, and BMS procedures.

• Collaboration & Communication

- Work closely with the Documentation Manager and team members.

- Communicate clearly with internal stakeholders when clarifications are needed.

• Continuous Improvement

- Participate in training and development to build drafting skills.

- Adhere to and support the Business Management System (BMS), with full commitment to HSE and Quality processes.

Yêu cầu công việc

Skills & Experiences:

- Bachelor's Degree (or higher) in Architecture

- Minimum 5 years of design and drafting experience.

- Proficient in Revit and AutoCAD

- Knowledge of Planning Schemes, NCC, AS & all relevant policies and regulations.

- Ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills

- Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn.

- Knowledge in completing construction documentation and tender documentation.

- Strong ability to meet targets.

- Positive mindset and good team player
