Position Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Research and Development Engineer specializing in Electronics to oversee our laboratory operations and contribute to the development of new products. The successful candidate will manage lab testing procedures, set up hardware, develop test protocols, ensure equipment maintenance and calibration, manage product standards and certification compliance, and support the development of new products by establishing qualification standards and managing design verification plans and reports.

Key Responsibilities:

Lab Testing and Procedures:

Conduct and oversee various tests in the lab to ensure product performance and reliability.

Develop and implement detailed test plans and procedures according to industry standards.

Analyze test data, prepare reports, and present findings to the R&D team.

Hardware Setup and Maintenance:

Set up and configure hardware for testing purposes.

Ensure all lab equipment is in optimal working condition through regular maintenance and calibration.

Troubleshoot and resolve any hardware or software issues that arise during testing.

Test Protocol Development:

Write comprehensive test protocols that meet industry standards and regulatory requirements.

Continuously update test procedures to incorporate new technologies and methodologies.

Train team members on proper testing protocols and equipment usage.

Equipment Management:

Maintain an inventory of all lab equipment and ensure timely calibration and servicing.

Source and procure new equipment as needed to support ongoing and future projects.

Ensure compliance with safety regulations and maintain a safe working environment.

Product Standards and Certification:

Manage and oversee the compliance of products with relevant industry standards and certifications.

Liaise with external certification bodies to ensure all products meet regulatory requirements.

Keep up-to-date with changes in industry standards and ensure products are updated accordingly.

New Product Development:

Participate in the development of new products, establishing and defining qualification standards and requirements.

Develop and manage Design Verification Plans (DVP) and Design Verification Reports (DVR) for each product and project.

Collaborate with design teams to qualify new designs and suppliers, ensuring they meet defined standards and requirements.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electronics/Electrical/Mechatronics Engineering or a related field.

• Proven experience in a research and development role within the electronics industry.

• Strong understanding of lab testing procedures and industry standards.

• Proficient in setting up and maintaining electronic testing equipment.

• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

• Strong organizational and project management abilities.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

• Good communication skills and ability to write clear and concise reports.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with regulatory compliance and certification processes.

• Familiarity with advanced testing methodologies and tools.

• Knowledge of the latest developments in electronics and testing technologies.
