Job Purpose & Summary

The Cost Controller provides key financial support to the Financial Controlling Manager, focusing on operational and execution-level tasks. This role is integral to ensuring the accuracy of product costing, capital expenditure management, transfer pricing, inventory management, and the preparation of management reports. The Cost Controller is responsible for analyzing cost variances, monitoring production performance against standards, and supporting financial processes to ensure compliance with internal controls. Partnering with functional teams to provide detailed analysis and insights into cost center results and assisting in implementing process improvements.

Key Responsibilities

• Product Costing : Maintain accurate and up-to-date product costing, including setting and updating standards, as well as analyzing actual costs versus standard costs.
• Variance Analysis : Monitor and analyze production performance against standards, identify key variances, and provide actionable insights to address discrepancies.
• Inventory Management : Support inventory control through accurate valuation, regular reconciliation, and ensuring alignment with organizational policies.
• Management Reporting : Assist in the preparation of operational and management reports, providing detailed analyses to aid decision-making.
• Capex Management : Support the monitoring and tracking of capital expenditure budgets and identification and distinguishing between capital and non-capital items.
• Transfer Pricing : Support with the maintenance and requests for transfer pricing between other business units.
• Cost Center Monitoring : Collaborate with functional teams to track cost center results and ensure alignment with budgets and financial controls.
• Internal Controls : Implement and maintain operational financial processes and control systems, ensuring compliance and data integrity within financial operations.
• Financial Planning Support : Support in budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities as required.
• Process Improvement : Identify inefficiencies in day-to-day operational financial processes and suggest improvements to enhance accuracy and efficiency
• Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, Business Administration, or a related field
• At least 1 year of experience in financial controlling, accounting, or related operational finance roles, focusing on areas such as product costing, inventory management, or variance analysis.
• Hands-on experience with SAP/ Oracle; Advanced in Microsoft Excel
• Able to communicate effectively in English
• Demonstrated ability to analyze financial data, prepare reports, and provide insights to support decision-making processes
• Working location: Hiep Phuoc Industrial Park, Nha Be, Ho Chi Minh City.
• We have a shuttle bus for employees.
• Travel required: this position will be required to travel to Hai Phong Plant when requested.
