JOB DESCRIPTION:

- Software Engineering & Hands-on Solution Delivery (≈30%)

• Stay hands-on: personally design, write, review and refactor production-quality code across CLD VN’s AI, automation and digital initiatives.

• Rapidly prototype, test and ship working solutions to address real business pain points, and unblock the team on complex technical problems.

• Establish and model baseline engineering practices - version control, code review, automated testing, CI/CD and secure development lifecycle - starting lean and maturing over time.

• Own the definition of done and the quality gates that keep CLD VN’s codebase maintainable, secure and production-ready as it scales.

- Enterprise Platform, Integration & IT Delivery (≈25%)

• Lead end-to-end delivery of enterprise digital and IT projects - from requirement scoping through build, integration, testing, deployment, operation and iteration.

• Design, build and operate the integration layer connecting AI tools, enterprise systems, data sources and internal workflows.

• Build dashboards, analytics tools and process automation using Python, modern web stacks, Microsoft Power Platform and cloud-based AI services, with production-grade engineering rigour.

• Own the execution environment, operations architecture and DevOps practices across projects, including reliability, observability and cost efficiency.

- AI, Automation & Data Products (≈20%)

• Lead end-to-end delivery of AI, automation and data/digital products, from scoping and solution design to deployment, adoption and iteration.

• Develop and integrate AI-enabled solutions (e.g., Copilot Studio agents, LLM APIs, document intelligence) for internal business use cases.

• Build and maintain data pipelines and foundational data structures to support analytics, reporting and AI use cases.

• In the interim, cover data engineering foundations.

- Technical Leadership, Architecture & Governance (≈15%)

• Own solution architecture across AI and digital initiatives, ensuring alignment with CLD’s AI and digital strategy and enterprise best practices.

• Evaluate and select tools, platforms and APIs, and make defensible, commercially grounded build-vs-buy-vs-leverage recommendations.

• Review and enforce technical standards, integration patterns and data governance.

• Prepare technical inputs for management - architecture updates, solution assessments, risk considerations and progress.

• Align CLD VN practices to IT policies and determine the best-fit local implementation; support audits of applications and systems supporting CLD VN requirements.

- Tech Liaison & Citizen Developer Enablement (≈10%)

• Serve as CLD VN’s primary technical point of contact with the Digital & Technology Team, navigating shared data infrastructure, system access and cross-entity governance protocols.

• Coordinate API integrations, data pipeline access and system onboarding; represent CLD VN’s technical requirements in cross-entity forums.

• Enable the citizen developer / AI builder community by defining safe, reusable patterns, paved-road templates and governance guardrails for low-code builders.

• Provide engineering support, mentoring and technical guidance to AI builders and future team members as the AI & Digital team scales.

REQUIREMENTS:

- Education & Expertise

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, Data Analytics, or related fields.

• 5 - 7+ years’ experience in technology roles, with at least 1 - 2 years in a senior, lead or architectural capacity (5+ years preferred).

• Proven track record delivering enterprise IT projects and platforms end to end, across cloud platforms, APIs and data infrastructure.

• Experience leading technical delivery as a tech lead, engineering lead, product or project lead; background in technology consulting or enterprise digital transformation is an advantage.

- Technical Skills o Required:

▪ Strong, demonstrable hands-on software engineering experience - able to ship and maintain production systems and still write code today (e.g., Python, JavaScript/TypeScript, modern web frameworks, SQL).

▪ Solid command of software engineering best practice - version control, code review, automated testing, CI/CD and secure SDLC.

▪ Hands-on experience with cloud-native services, APIs and system integration.

▪ Working experience with the Microsoft ecosystem - Microsoft 365, Power Platform (Power Automate, Power Apps) and Power BI.

o Nice to Have:

▪ Experience with enterprise AI/ML platforms, LLM APIs, Copilot Studio or Azure AI Foundry.

▪ Experience across data analytics and data engineering - building data pipelines, data models and analytics products.

▪ Hands-on experience with Azure, Databricks and Microsoft Fabric.

▪ Knowledge of enterprise data governance - data classification, access control and compliance frameworks.

▪ Familiarity with real estate, property development, asset management or financial services business models.

• Ability to understand business processes and translate business needs into actionable technical briefs and practical digital solutions.

• Strong business communication skills; able to brief senior, non-technical stakeholders clearly and concisely in plain language.

• Able to connect technical decisions with business outcomes such as productivity gains, efficiency, risk reduction and cost optimisation.

• Comfortable being a team of one initially - a pragmatic, hands-on builder who will grow into a technical leader and mentor as the AI & Digital team scales.
