About this role:

The Warehouse & Fulfillment Manager directs end-to-end pharmaceutical warehousing, cold chain storage, and high-velocity order fulfillment operations across GONSA’s 4PL distribution network. Operating at the intersection of regulatory rigor and commercial agility, this role guarantees strict adherence to Good Storage Practice (GSP), Good Distribution Practice (GDP), and Ministry of Health (MOH) mandates while delivering exceptional 4PL service levels to our partners. The position holds strategic accountability for operational governance, operating expenditure (OPEX) optimization, automated system integrity (ERP/WMS), and cross-functional leadership, steering a resilient and safety-first workforce to sustain rapid business growth.

Job Description

End-to-End Warehousing & Fulfillment Operations

• Direct daily workflows: Manage bonded/commercial receiving, put-away, high-accuracy picking, packing, secondary packaging/labeling, and dispatch.
• Cold Chain Custody: Oversee multi-temperature zone operations (ambient, cool, cold, and ultra-low freezers), ensuring end-to-end temperature logging and zero thermal excursions.
• Cross-Functional SLAs: Partner with Commercial, Customer Service, Procurement, and Transportation to maintain visibility, eliminate bottlenecks, and resolve 4PL service escalations within defined SLAs.
• Risk Mitigation: Champion business continuity planning (BCP) and risk mitigation protocols against supply disruptions, system outages, and peak seasonal spikes.

Process Governance, Quality & GSP/GDP Compliance

• Regulatory Custodian: Serve as the operational lead for GSP, GDP, and ISO quality management systems across facility infrastructure and personnel practices.
• QA Alignment: Formulate, standardize, and audit standard operating procedures (SOPs), working instructions (WIs), and change controls in direct alignment with Quality Assurance (QA).
• Deviation Management: Spearhead non-conformance investigations, deviation management, and root cause analyses (CAPA) for operational discrepancies, damage, or stock variances.
• Safety First: Uphold strict environmental health and safety (EHS) guidelines, safeguarding workforce welfare, facility assets, and high-value pharmaceutical inventory.

Technology Integration & Inventory Governance

• System Integrity: Champion WMS and SAP ERP (S/4HANA) operational utilization, securing real-time inventory visibility, lot/batch control, FEFO/FIFO enforcement, and data integrity.
• Inventory Accuracy: Lead perpetual cycle count programs and comprehensive stocktakes; eliminate book-to-physical inventory variances.
• Space Optimization: Drive dynamic slotting and layout re-engineering to maximize cubic storage density and pick efficiency for expanding product lines and new 4PL client portfolios.

Financial Stewardship & OPEX Optimization

• Fiscal Oversight: Control fulfillment OPEX, auditing labor utilization, consumables, specialized packaging materials, third-party logistics (3PL) fees, and M&E maintenance.
• Cost-to-Serve Reduction: Formulate annual departmental operating budgets; identify and execute lean warehousing and continuous improvement initiatives (Kaizen, 5S) to lower the overall 4PL cost-to-serve.

People Leadership & Workforce Planning

• Agile Headcount Planning: Structure departmental resource planning, balancing core full-time staff and variable outsourced labor to match volume fluctuations efficiently.
• Culture & Training: Foster a disciplined, safety-conscious culture through structured training matrix governance, technical onboarding, and career bench-planning.
• Talent Development: Conduct objective performance appraisals, mentoring operational supervisors and high-potential team members.

Strategic Initiatives & Business Transformation

• Client Integration: Lead operational integration for strategic 4PL client onboarding, new facility commissioning, and cross-functional corporate initiatives.
• Digital Transformation: Drive warehouse automation and digital transformation projects (e.g., barcode/RFID scanning, automated guided workflows, automated reporting dashboards).

• Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Pharmacy, Industrial Engineering, or Business Administration. A Degree in Pharmacy is highly advantageous given the regulatory landscape.
• Industry Experience: 7+ years of progressive leadership experience in warehouse operations, order fulfillment, or distribution. Direct experience in the pharmaceutical, healthcare, medical device, or highly regulated cold-chain sectors is a plus.
• Technology & Systems Proficiency: Advanced hands-on experience with modern Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and ERP software (SAP S/4HANA is strongly preferred). Strong analytical capabilities, utilizing tools like Power BI or advanced Excel to track SLAs, monitor inventory variances, and drive automated reporting.
• Financial & Process Acumen: Demonstrated ability to formulate and manage OPEX budgets, analyze cost-to-serve metrics, and optimize resource allocation. Practical experience driving Lean warehousing principles, 5S, and Kaizen.
• Leadership & Agility: Strong people orchestration skills with experience managing both full-time staff and variable outsourced labor. Exceptional cross-functional communication skills, capable of partnering with Commercial, Procurement, and QA teams with empathy, authority, and extreme logical clarity.
