Job description and location – driver duties corresponding to the "Operational Assistant" category within the Operational Assistant career path; these are executive-level functions of a manual or mechanical nature, carried out under well-defined general directives and involving varying degrees of complexity essential to the operation of the bodies and services, potentially requiring physical exertion; responsibility for equipment under one's care and its proper use, including performing maintenance and repairs when necessary at the Embassy of Portugal in Hanoi, in accordance with the specifications set out in Article 88, Paragraph 2, and the Annex to Law No. 35/2014 of June 20; driving light vehicles for the diplomatic mission or consular post in accordance with instructions from the Head of Mission or the consular post, while ensuring the safety of passengers and cargo; handling, cleaning, maintaining, and performing periodic servicing of vehicles, and reporting any breakdowns, accidents, or other daily occurrences that might jeopardize the safety or condition of vehicles assigned to the Mission; transporting and delivering verbal notes, correspondence (including confidential items), and official packages, as well as loading and unloading luggage or other goods as directed; and providing external support to the chancery secretariat or residence staff-specifically regarding mail and the purchase of supplies and performing other diverse support functions essential to the operation of the diplomatic mission or consular post, in accordance with the specifications set out in Article 9, Paragraph 2, of Decree-Law No. 47/2013 of April 5.

Requirements for admission to the recruitment process:

The following are cumulative requirements for admission:

6.1. Meet the general requirements for public service employment set forth in Article 17 of the General Law on Public Service Employment (approved by Law No. 35/2014 of June 20), with the exception of the requirement for Portuguese nationality, pursuant to Article 5 of Decree-Law No. 47/2013 of April 5;

6.2. Possess the minimum mandatory level of education;

6.3. The selected candidate must hold a residence permit or status in the country and have their status regularized with local tax and social security authorities at the time of hiring;

6.4. The requirement mentioned in the previous item may be evidenced subsequently—within a 10-day period—in accordance with Article 5 of Decree-Law No. 47/2013 of April 5;

6.5. Knowledge of Vietnamese and English will be considered an asset;
